UNCLE ARTHUR (5) caught the eye when storming home to win his maiden by 4.3 lengths over this same trip at Ballarat late last month. His time of 22.24 seconds suggests there is more to come, and he should prove just as hard to run down if he lands on the bunny nice and early again.
SANDY CABANG (6) has a likable record over this distance with two wins to her name here at Bendigo. She wasn’t beaten far last week from the inside box and is likely to feature prominently close to the speed in the early stages.
BIG BOY CABANG (4) hasn’t had the greatest deal of luck recently in tougher runs at Shepparton, but does pose a serious threat here from the middle box where he’s typically performed well in the past. He’s 0/4 here at Bendigo but is a multiple winner over 425m. In a race that packs plenty of early speed, he should be one of the toughest to run down.
FULL SPEED AHEAD (4) should be one of the fastest into stride from the middle box. He looked as though he might be wanting longer when finishing last at Warrnambool last week, but there’s plenty to like about his record over this track/trip, which includes a slick 24.00 seconds PB.
