We look to Pakenham this evening for our four best bets.
The eight race card will see some exciting youngsters kick off their campaigns under lights and Rebecca Hill has done the form and shares her thoughts and selections with you.
PAKENHAM: Race 1 (5:45pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Hot Too Glo
Hot Too Glo has had a number of chances but this looks to be his race.
The three year old has turned out some strong performances in solid company and he finished the runner up in the Listed Geelong Classic before taking his place in the Victoria Derby.
He was beaten as the short priced favourite last time but I think he’ll relish getting out to this trip and he draws to get a cosy run under Damian Lane.
PAKENHAM: Race 5 (7:45pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Big Swinger
Big Swinger kicks off his preparation.
The son of Trapeze Artist has just had the three race starts and has performed very well on each occasion.
A winner on debut over 1200m at Ballarat, he then made it back to back victories in impression fashion over that same course and distance.
Taking a big jump up in class he stepped out in the listed Springtime Stakes and ran a very credible fifth, beaten less than two lengths.
He looks ready to go off a recent jump out win and I think he’ll prove too good for them.
PAKENHAM: Race 6 (8:15pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Chewing Gum
Chewing Gum returns the races.
Prepared by the Lindsay Park team, the Brazen Beau filly showed plenty of talent in her prep, saluting on debut before placing against quality opposition.
She finished third to Treasurethe Moment at her second outing and then finished the runner up to Blue Diamond winner Kuroyanagi.
Sent to the paddock after failing to run on the Listed Springtime Stakes, she looks to have come back in top order with two pleasing jump out performances and she’s sure to find this easier than what she’s previously contested.
PAKENHAM: Race 8 (9:15pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 Vivacissimo
Vivacissimo comes off a strong maiden win over this course and distance and the filly looks to have a bit of upside.
She made her debut here last month where she was slow away and worked home solidly over the 1200m.
A daughter of Contributor, she showed good natural improvement last time, hitting the line strongly despite being held up in the early part of the straight.
The margin was only a long neck but it was a further two lengths back to third.
The rise to the mile looks ideal and she gets in nicely with the 2kg claim for Logan Bates.
