Golden Slipper Day is upon us and we’ve searched up and down the east coast to find our four best bets.
ROSEHILL: Race 4 (2:15pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 3 Autumn Glow
Autumn Glow returns to the races.
The talented filly took all before in her first campaign, scoring a dominant win on debut in a 3YO Benchmark 72 Handicap before taking the step to stakes grade, with decisive wins in both the Group Three Up and Coming Stakes and Group Two Tea Rose Stakes.
She lines up here off three pleasing trials, where she’s worked through the line under very little pressure and she draws to get all the favours under James McDonald.
ROSEHILL: Race 5 (2:50pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Via Sistina
Via Sistina was back to her best last start as she recorded a determined victory in the Verry Elleegant Stakes, and she looks beautifully placed here up to 2000m at her third run back.
Last year’s Cox Plate champ was victorious in this race last year in what was just her second start on Australian soil and she’s since added a further five Group One wins to her resume.
A seven-time winner over the 2000m, there’s no doubting this is her pet trip, and she’ll get conditions to suit in the 2025 Ranvet Stakes.
MOONEE VALLEY: Race 10 (5:35pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 7 Clean Energy
Clean Energy kicked off her campaign with a solid effort to finish third down the Flemington straight three weeks ago and she will have taken plenty of benefit from that run.
The Zoustar filly made it two from two in her first preparation, scoring a dominant win on debut before taking out the Listed Bill Carter in Brisbane, where she got the better of Lady Shenandoah.
The rise to 1200m will suit, she’ll relish the soft conditions and she meets Scillato much better at the weights this time around.
EAGLE FARM: Race 9 (5:10pm AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 French Endeavour
French Endeavour makes the trip to Brisbane for the first time and she’s sure to appreciate the drop back in grade after contesting the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes at her most recent outing.
It was a credible effort from the Matthew Smith trained mare as she raced wide throughout and stuck on gamely to finish less than three lengths off Amelia’s Jewel.
She’s only won the three races but has competed at a high level for much of her career and she looks ideally placed here at her third run back.
