Tank Alert!
The Bulls completed a three-team trade with the Spurs and the Kings, which saw their top scorer, Zach LaVine head to Sacramento, while they received their own 2025 draft pick back off the Spurs.
What this essentially means, is the Bulls can now bottom out and begin their rebuild.
In this game they’ll take on a Heat side who are still trying to win, and have somewhat managed to do that off the back of a career season from Tyler Herro.
Without LaVine, the Bulls are going to struggle from the perimeter here, and I have the Heat covering as road favourites.
The Clippers host the Lakers in the battle of LA.
The Lakers just pulled off the biggest trade in NBA history, swindling the Mavs of a generational talent in Luka Doncic, while sending out AD, Max Christy and a single 1st rounder,
The Luka Doncic signing ensures the Lakers a bright future for the next 6 or so years, but in the immediate, they’ll be left short handed until they bring in another big and Doncic returns from his calf injury.
The Clippers are 17-8 at home this season, and recently saw off the Lakers by 14 points at the Intuit Dome, with AD, LeBron and Christie on the floor.
Ivica Zubac should have a field day on the glass here, allowing the Clips plenty of 2nd chance scoring opportunities.
I’m backing the post AD era to start with a lull in form, beginning with a heavy defeat to crosstown rivals.
