No. Daella
Daella is back from a break for trainer Cliff Brown hoping to pick up where she left off at Cranbourne last October.
The filly by Written Tycoon exploded with a strong turn of foot down the outside to claim her maiden, winning by half a length with a bit left in the tank over the same trip.
She was quickly put away in time for the autumn and has appeared in great order during a pair of recent jump outs. Providing she gets another well-timed steer off the speed, she’ll be hard to beat.

No. 10 Thin Red Line
Thin Red Line is second-up for John Sadler after disappointing for a run on return at Mornington.
The lightly-raced four-year-old settled in the front half of the field in behind the speed, but failed to pick up when the leaders quickened, finishing third-last in the end.
It’s worth noting he was tasked with 1400m fresh from a 12-week break, so he should be better for the run with an inside gate working in his favour.
Fitter and proven at this stage of his prep, he’s worth an each-way play with Jye McNeil taking over.

No. 4 Eugenius
Eugenius was down to race at Sandown on Saturday but has instead opted for this slightly easier assignment.
Shane Nichols’ four-year-old has been up for a while, mixing his form to return a win three back over the same distance here at Sale, before missing out on a place in tougher company at Flemington and Sandown.
Overracing cost him a chance at a place last week when beaten two lengths by Porter, but he’s clearly pulled up well enough for the stable to consider racing on the quick backup.
In well with the 2kg claim and drawn a handy gate, he’ll be one of the toughest to hold out in the late stages.

No. 4 Entrusting
Entrusting is a promising three-year-old who is more than capable of winning a race like this.
The Autumn Sun gelding showed us what he’s all about when winning claiming his maiden at Seymour on return, while a slow start cost him a couple of lengths second-up out over further at Geelong last time out.
Jumping on time will be key to his chances out to the mile under Michael Dee, and with the added fitness advantage, he’s likely to make his presence felt working home off the speed.
