Ten races will be run and won at Royal Randwick this Saturday.
Whilst there’s no feature events on the program, we’re still set for a big day of racing with plenty of talented gallopers to go around.
The rail will be out 3m and the track is rated a good 4.
I’ve had a good look at each race on the program and you can find my thoughts and selection below.
Race 1: 12:35pm AEDT DRINKWISE PLATE 2YO Maiden 1000M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Cryoseims
Cryoseisms hails from the Godolphin yard and has performed very nicely in recent trials and jump outs.
A son of Frosted, out of Blue Diamond winner Earthquake, this colt looks to do everything right and his most recent jump out, over 800m at Flemington saw him take up the running and find the line strongly under a tight hold.
Josh Parr will do the steering and with luck from the tricky draw, I think he’ll be right in this.
Race 2: 1:10pm AEDT MIDWAY HANDICAP BM72 1100M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Bundeena
Bundeena returns from a break.
The Spirit of Boom gelding was racing in top form last campaign with two wins and two placings from five starts, all of which were at this level.
He just looked to peak on his run late when resuming last prep but that was on a heavy track and his previous first up runs have all been full of merit.
He comes here off a very nice 850m trial, where he was held together and the 3kg claim for Benjamin Osmond sees him in well at the weights.
Race 3: 1:45pm TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP Class 2 1600M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 In Summer
In Summer has the job ahead off the wide gate but she may have a class edge over them here.
A daughter of The Autumn Sun, she worked home strongly to finish a clear second in heavy conditions over the 1500m at Rosehill two runs back.
Last start, off the outside draw she settled back along the rail and when brought to the outside, showed a strong turn of foot to power home over the top of them.
Tom Sherry will take the mount for Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich and if he can slot in and find cover on her early, she’ll be too strong for them late.
Race 4: 2:20pm TOYOTA FORKLIFTS HANDICAP BM88 1400m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Accredited
Accredited has come back in fine order this campaign and looks well placed to make it three straight.
The All Too Hard gelding was a good thing beat when resuming over 1100m at Canterbury, but he atoned for that at his following start with a dominant second up win at Warwick Farm.
Taking the step to Saturday metro company a fortnight ago, he again proved too good as he dug deep to score over the 1300m here.
A very honest galloper, he continues to work through his grades with relative ease and he excels on firm tracks.
I don’t think he’ll have any trouble stretching out to 1400m and the inside draw should see him afforded all the favours under Josh Parr.
Race 5: 2:55pm AEDT CAPTIVANT AT KIA ORA HANDICAP BM78 1400m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 Allapercanto
Allapercanto has been solid in three runs back this preparation and there’s a lot to like about her here.
She ended up last when turning into the straight at Kembla two runs back and finished off strongly and last time, up to the mile, she was only beaten a head.
A daughter of Per Incanto, she’s raced consistently through her 13 start career and looks very progressive.
With three weeks since that last outing, she drops back to 1400m and will sport the blinkers for the first time.
She’s draw to get the right run and is sure to be strong late.
Race 6: 3:35pm TAB HANDICAP BM72 1600m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Bright Red
Bright Red is racing in great heart and looks overdue for a win.
At her second run back in the heavy 10 conditions, she came right to the outside fence under Nash, making good ground late to claim second.
Last time, up to the mile I thought she could get the job done and she hit the front 100m from home but was just collared late.
She’s fit, she’s certainly capable and from gate two is set to get the run of the race under Josh Parr.
Race 7: 4:15pm AEDT PRECISE AIR HANDICAP BM88 1200m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 9 Amazing Eagle
Amazing Eagle is building a very tidy record and looks a smart horse on the rise.
After a very encouraging first campaign which saw him finish the runner up in his first two runs before claiming third in the Group 3 Black Opal, he returned in top order to take out the Listed Brian Crowley Handicap over this course and distance.
He then headed to Brisbane at the beginning of last month, where he struck a very heavy track and was gallant in defeat, charging late to go down narrowly in the $160k Pierata Plate.
He’s drawn to get every chance here and gets in with just 53kg on his back.
Race 8: 4:55pm AEDT ASAHI SUPER DRY HANDICAP BM78 2000m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Morning Sun
Morning Sun was a touch disappointing last start over 1800m here but with the drop in grade and rise in trip, I think he can bounce back.
The former UK galloper won well when resuming at Rosehill and was solid second up there but just appeared a bit dour last time, suggesting he was ready to step out over further.
Prior to that latest run, he’d performed consistently and he looks a nice stayer on the rise.
The team have elected to apply the blinkers for the first time and with the 3kg claim for Benjamin Osmond, he gets in very nicely here.
Race 9: 5:35pm AEDT INGLIS CLASSIC SALE 9-11 FEB HANDICAP BM78 1100m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 4 Boston Rocks
Boston Rocks resumed with solid effort to finish second over 1000m on the Caulfield Heath and I think he can go one better here.
Always wide, he still hit the line strongly to finish half a length from the winner and put up a clear margin back to third.
He strips fitter and the way he found the line suggests he’ll relish the rise to 1100m.
The Hellbent gelding has put together a tidy record and the form around him is solid.
If he can slot in and find cover off the tricky draw, he’ll be right there at the finish.
Race 10: 6:10pm AEDT RANVET HANDICAP BM78 1500m
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 13 Piggyback
Piggyback returned with an encouraging effort over 1400m at Warwick Farm and there’s a lot about her here.
With that run under her belt, the slight rise to 1500m looks ideal and whilst she doe rise in grade, she drops 4kgs.
A winner of three from seven, the daughter of Trapeze Artist is working through her grades nicely and looks very progressive.
The winkers go back on and she has saluted here previously.
