Albion Park: Race 2 7:49pm AEDT
No. 8 Groovebird

Groovebird is a Victorian chaser that arrives in Queensland in good form.

The Jeff Britton-trained bitch led all the way over 715m at Sandown for an 8.5 length win in a best of the night time of 41.98 seconds.

She had her first look around Albion Park over 600m three starts ago where she raced wide for a length third.

The previous box 8 winner has the speed to find a prominent position.

Albion Park: Race 3 8:10pm AEDT
No. 3 Ethanol Water

Ethanol Water was a touch slow and was immediately checked out of the lids when finishing at the tail of the field in the Golden Sands Final last start.

The Thomas Dailly-trained bitch was excellent two starts back when proving too strong over 600m here in 34.78 seconds.

The rise in distance suits given she won the G1 Bold Trease Final five starts back over the trip.

She looks well placed in this field.

Albion Park: Race 4 8:28pm AEDT
No. 6 Black Silencer

Black Silencer was electric in his first race over this course and distance last start.

The son of Hooked On Scotch found the front early in the Clem Jones Cup Final before extending his lead to romp in by 9.5 lengths in a slick 41.59 seconds.

The classy chaser was narrowly beaten by Ethanol Waters in the Bold Trease Final five starts ago.

Given how quick he ran at his first look at the track, he will only be improved and should be hard to beat.

Albion Park: Race 6 9:10pm AEDT
No. 6 Vincent Bale

Vincent Bale arrives in Queensland in great form with three wins from his past four starts.

The son of Christo Bale recorded a best of the night 29.41 seconds when easily winning over 525m at The Meadows last start.

Three starts back he scorched the Warragul sand when clocking a best of the night 25.39 seconds in his Cup heat win.

On his day, he’s an ultra-quick beginner and can lead this field.
