RACE 1: (12:35pm AEDT) HERITAGE REAL ESTATE 2YO HANDICAP 1200M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 3 Namaste

J: Adam Hyeronimus (58kg) T: Bjorn Baker

Namaste is one of several runners to make their debut here and the Savabeel colt has had the benefit of two solid trials.

He showed good improvement in his latest heat where he was pressed forward and when given a slap with the whip, he picked up nicely to win the trial.

He looks to do everything right and with good early speed he should be able to put himself up there and make a race of it.

Adam Hyeronimous will take the mount for Bjorn Baker.

RACE 2: (1:10pm AEDT) CENTRAL COAST MAYOR'S MIDWAY HANDICAP BM72 1600M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 3 Magnatear

J: Ashley Morgan (58kg) T: R & W Freedman

Magnatear comes off a solid performance when having his first start for the new stable.

With six weeks between runs, the Written Tycoon gelding was only chased down late after taking up the early running.

He stuck on gamely to hold second and will have taken improvement from the outing.

He’s got a very handy record over the mile and with luck off the wide draw, I think he’ll be hard to beat.

RACE 3: (1:45pm AEDT) TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP CLASS 3 1100M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 9 Ritzsun

J: Christian Reith (54.5kg) T: Scott Singleton

Ritzsun has just had the three starts and looks to have a bright future.

He kicked off his career in fine style, scoring back to back victories at his home track Scone, before heading to the paddock for a break.

The three year old returned in good order, with a solid effort to finish second over the 1000m here.

Taken back off the wide gate, he finished off strongly down the outside to get within a length on the winner.

He strips fitter and the extra 100m looks ideal.

Christian Rieth has partnered him in all three raceday appearances and he’ll again do the steering for Scott Singleton.

RACE 4: (2:20pm AEDT) DOMELAND BENCHMARK 100 HANDICAP 1350M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 8 Grand Impact

J: Winona Costin (52kg) T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr

Grand Impact comes off a very encouraging run on Pakenham Cup Day it looks as though the team have him back on track.

The son of Satono Aladdin made a flying start to his career with three straight wins, including the Group 3 Blue Sapphire before tackling the Coolmore Stud Stakes.

A serious injury then saw him spend over a year on the sidelines and he failed to fire last prep.

He was doing his best work late around the Valley two runs back and last start, over 1400m, he settled in the box seat and struck the front 100m out but was just collared late.

He strips fitter, he’s drawn to get all the favours and whilst he does rise in grade, he drops significantly in weight.

RACE: 5 (2:55pm AEDT) WYONG EQUINE CLINIC F&M BM78 HANDICAP 1100M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Bonita Queen

J: Adam Hyeronimus (59kg) T: Bjorn Baker

Bonita Queen returns to the races.

The I Am Invincible mare has put together a very tidy record, having only missed a top three spot on one occasion during her nine starts to date.

She put the writing on the wall last campaign with dominant back to back wins and her performance in two recent trial suggests that she’s comes back in top order.

The wide draw will be a challenge to overcome but she possesses great natural speed and if she can cross without burning too much petrol early, she’ll be hard to beat.

Adam Hyernominus knows her well and will again do the steering for Bjorn Baker.

RACE 6: (3:30pm AEDT) CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY NEWS 3&4YO BM72 HANDICAP 1300M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 2 Invader Zim

J: Benjamin Osmond (60kg) T: Chris Waller

Invader Zim kicked off his camping with a very encouraging effort to finish second behind the inform Disneck.

The Chris Waller trained gelding settled in behind the speed showed a good kick when asked for an effort but just found one better on the day.

Unbeaten in two second appearances, he’s sure to have taken improvement from that run and the slight rise to 1300m will suit.

Only lightly raced, he continues to step up and looks ideally placed here back in grade.

Benjamin Osmond will take 3kgs off and the inside draw will see him enjoy a cosy run in transit.

RACE 7: (4:05pm AEDT) DE BORTOLI WINES BM88 HANDICAP 2100M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Bullets High

J: Alysha Collett (55kg) T: Joseph Pride

Bullets High is ultra consistent and looks well placed to get another win on the board.

The Joe Pride trained gelding won well first up and has placed in four and of five subsequent runs.

Beaten just over a length last start at Randwick, this doesn’t look any tougher and he presents here hard fit.

He has won at his only star over 2100m and with luck in running, he’ll be right there fighting out the finish.

RACE 8: (4:40pm AEDT) WYONG LEAGUES GROUP $500K THE LAKES 1600M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 1 Robusto

J: Adam Hyeronimus (59kg) T: Bjorn Baker

Bjorn Baker has Robusto racing in career best form and there’s a lot to like about him here.

He was strong thought the line thee runs back in the Festival Stakes behind Private Eye and then proved too strong with a surprising win in the Group Two The Ingham.

The Churchill gelding made his way to Queensland a fortnight ago where he was gallant in defeat to finish second in the Buffering.

He presents here hard fit and the step back out to the mile looks ideal.

RACE 9: (5:20pm AEDT) NBN NEWS BM78 HANDICAP 1200M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Each Way

No. 1 Able Willie

J: Zac Wadick (60kg) T: Chris Waller

Able Willie resumed with a pleasing effort over 1200m at Randwick and he looks to have a few things in his favour.

Settling back in the small field, the Written Tycoon gelding just wanted to get his head up through the middle stages but finished off strongly into third.

He strips fitter and he does boast a very good record over this trip.

Zac Wadick will take 3kgs off and with the inside draw he’s sure to enjoy a cosy run throughout.

Whilst I’m a bit wary of how he’ll get around Wyong, at double figure odds I think he’s worth the chance.

Best of the day

RACE 10: (6:00pm AEDT) ROYAL HOTEL WYONG BM78 HANDICAP 1350M

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 4 Yorkshire

J: Billy Loughnane (59kg) T: John O'Shea & Tom Charlton

Yorkshire just bumped into a smart one when resuming over 1300m at Randwick and he will have taken plenty of improvement from the outing.

The son of Snitzel tried hard and was only beaten a half head by the inform Accredited, who has since won again in dominant fashion.

With just the five starts, he’s already recorded three wins and two placings, and he looks set for bigger and better things.

Billy Loughnane takes the mount for John O’Shea and Tom Charlton and I think he’ll be too good for them.
