The 2025 Magic Millions raceday is almost upon us and at this stage it’s all systems go for the Gold Coast Turf Club to hold their feature day.
$14.5 million in prizemoney will be up for grabs across the ten race card and with capacity fields for nine of the ten events, we’re set for a thrilling day.
The rail will be in the true position and the track is currently rated a soft 5, with more rain expected in the coming days.
We’ve gone through each and every runner and our thoughts and selections can be found below.
RACE 1: (12:30PM AEST) MAGIC MILLIONS MAIDEN PLATE 1100M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 12 Volatile
Volatile returns to the races and he looks ready to go following two pleasing trials.
Prepared by Peter Snowden, the son of Snitzel has shown good ability but hasn’t had a lot go his way.
Stepping out in the Golden Gift at his second race start, he was held up for much of the straight but charged late to claim third.
Sent for break, he returned for two runs in May where he failed to fire in heavy 10 conditions and things didn’t go to plan in a two year old Handicap at Randwick.
Given two trials, he looked sharp in his most recent over 900m at Rosehill as looked to do everything right and won with plenty in hand.
Tommy Berry will do the steering and barrier five should see him afforded every chance.
RACE 2: (1:05PM AEST) GOLD COAST TURF CLUB MAGIC MILLIONS COUNTRY CUP 1200M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 King Gutho
King Gutho was found to be lame following his most recent run but there’s no doubt the team will have him in top order as he makes his way to the Gold Coast once again.
Placed in this race two years ago off the outside alley, the Joe Cleary trained gelding was also the third placegetter in the Aquis Jewel here as a two-year-old.
A six-time winner, he’s proven himself to be a very handy galloper on his day and he does race particularly well with a bit of give in the track.
He gets a good draw and Tommy Berry in the saddle.
RACE 3: (1:40PM AEST) MAGIC MILLIONS THE DEBUT 2YO PLATE 1000M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 7 In Limbo
In Limbo has had the benefit of two public trials and she’s looked very professional on both occasions.
Her first trial saw her sit outside the leader and give a strong kick when placed under pressure.
She then took up the running in her latest heat and was strong through the line, this time, held together.
A daughter of Hellbent, she possesses great natural speed and with the low draw, she can roll forward under Kerrin McEvoy and she’s sure to be strong late.
RACE 4: (2:15PM AEST) QUEENSLAND MAGIC MILLIONS SUBZERO 2200M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 4 Miss Joelene
Miss Joelene is on the quick back up into the 2025 Magic Millions Subzero after a scoring a well-deserved victory in last Saturday’s The Wave.
There was plenty of merit in her performance as she endured a wide run throughout and still found enough of over the final part to kick away and score comfortably.
A daughter of Russian Revolution, she had been placed in all four starts this campaign prior and was unlucky not to have won at her third run back.
A Group One placegetter, having finished third in the Queensland Oaks earlier this year, she’s always shown a touch a class and the rise to 2200m will certainly suit.
Jimmy Orman has a great affinity with the mare, he goes back aboard is sure to afford her every chance from the low draw.
RACE 5: (2:50PM AEDT) TAB MAGIC MILLIONS FILLIES & MARES 1300M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Revolutionary Miss
Revolutionary Miss comes off a plain performance at Eagle Farm, but I think we’ll see a much-improved effort from her here in the Magic Millions Fillies & Mares.
A six-time stakes winner, the daughter of Russian Revolution has well and truly proven herself a top-class mare and she did finish third in the Magic Millions Cup on this day last year.
She will have taken good fitness benefit from that latest outing, and she’ll appreciate getting onto a track with a bit of give.
The slight rise in trip will suit, she’s drawn to receive all the favours under Mark Zahra and he knows how to get the best out of her.
RACE 6: (3:25PM AEST) HOWDEN MAGIC MILLIONS SNIPPETS 1200M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 Semana
Semana returns to the races and the Ciaron Maher trained mare brings the strongest form lines into this year’s Magic Millions Snippets.
Placed in both the Group 1 Coolmore Classic and the Queen of the Turf in the Autumn of last year, she then headed to Queensland where she finished runner up in the Stradbroke Handicap.
Back to Sydney, she was beaten only 1.3 behind Via Sistina in the Winx Stakes but she failed to fire in subsequent runs.
She does race well fresh and was just given an easy time of things in a recent trial.
Damian Lane will do the steering, and the low draw can see her settle just in behind the leaders and have the drop on them late.
RACE 7: (4:05PM AEST) THE STAR MAGIC MILLIONS 2YO CLASSIC 1200M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 10 Invincible Woman
Invincible Woman has just had the one start for one win and she did it with ease.
A daughter of I Am Invincible, as her name suggests, she made her debut over 1100m on the Caulfield Heath where she was taken straight to the front and never looked in doubt.
Travelling sweetly, she gave a good kick when asked for an effort and extended strongly to score by just under three lengths.
She’s since been given a 1000m trial on the Gold Coast course proper to keep her up to the mark and with natural improvement, she sure to make her presence felt in the 2025 Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
RACE 8: (4:45PM AEST) GOLD COAST MAGIC MILLIONS 3YO GUINEAS 1400M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Snitzanova
Snitzanova is shooting for four straight wins, and I think she has the class to get it done in the 2025 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
The Snitzel filly did plenty wrong on debut over 1200m but made good ground late and has been unbeaten in three subsequent runs.
Relishing the rise in trip she powered over the top of them late to take out her maiden on the Kensington before taking out the Group Three Spring Stakes at Newcastle and Group Two Sandown Guineas.
She’s proven in all conditions and with six weeks since her Guineas triumph, the drop back to 1400m will suit.
A very versatile filly, Daniel Stackhouse will have options from gate nine and she gets very nicely here at set weights.
RACE 9: (5:20PM AEST) MAGIC MILLIONS CUP 1400M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Charm Stone
Charm Stone resumes off an eight-week let up.
Prepared by the Price / Kent team, the I Am Invincible mare showed she was back to her best when returning off a lengthy break late last year.
After a solid first up effort in the Northwood Plume, she powered home to claim third behind Marhaba in the Group Three Rising Fast but was luckless at her latest run in the Rupert Clarke.
A quality mare, she’s a three-time stakes winner and she lines up here off a very encouraging performance in a Rosehill trial.
Damian Lane has partnered her in all three of her victories, he jumps back in the saddle and with the low draw I think she’ll be very hard to beat in the 2025 Magic Millions Cup.
RACE 10: (5:55PM AEST) RACING QUEENSLAND MAGIC MILLIONS QTIS OPEN 1300M
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Cifrado
Cifrado has been racing in top form this campaign and there’s a lot to like about him here.
Runner up in both the Swiss Ace and the George Moore, he powered home from the back to take out the Lough Neagh in impressive fashion.
Last start he stuck to the inside and was strong through the line in The Buffering.
He’s fit, he’s got a terrific record over the 1300m and he’s drawn ideally in gate four under Boris Thornton in the Magic Millions QTIS Open.
