Hamilton: Race 3 (2:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 11 Seattle Hope

J: Alana Kelly (57.5kg) T: Mitchell Freedman

Seattle Hope is the easy on top selection here with three consecutive runner-up performances to her name.

The Mitch Freedman-trained mare missed out by a nose in a diving effort at Donald last start, a run that bodes well for this ever so slight step up to 1400m.

She’ll need a touch of luck from the gate, but with the form from her previous two attempts stacking up nicely, she’ll be hard to beat.

Hamilton: Race 5 (3:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win Market Mover

No. 4 Mawkeb

J: Will Gordon (60kg) T: Patrick Kearney

Mawkeb comes back to compete at country level after tackling the mile at The Valley last start.

The Deep Field mare overraced a little and was entitled to finish midfield in the end, still a solid run after finishing third over 1400m here at Hamilton first-up.

With a couple of runs under her belt now, she looks set to peak third-up with Will Gordon retaining the ride from an ideal gate.

Hamilton: Race 7 (4:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 1 Cranc

J: Jaylah Kennedy (63kg) T: Patrick McKenna

Cranc should find this a touch easier dropping back to BM58 grade.

A seven-year-old to The Fighting Sun, he’s been super unlucky not to win over his last two starts, beaten by the barest of margins on both occasions at Mortlake and Naracoorte.

He loves to get back and run on, so from a middle gate, he should be finishing strongly over the top if he handles the top weight.

Hamilton: Race 8 (5:00pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Each Way

No. 11 Long Lost Friend

J: Jarrod Fry (59.5kg) T: Mark O'Donnell

Long Lost Friend rates a top chance coming off an eye-catching win at Geelong last start.

Mark O’Donnell’s mare flew home late to get up in her final few strides, making up a stack of late ground after blowing the start and settling back in the field.

She’s armed with a serious turn of foot when she’s at her best, and although she’s deep into her prep, she could easily go on with the job from an even better gate.
