No. 6 Berezka
Berezka resumes for Ciaron Maher hoping to make good use of the inside gate.
The filly by Xtravagant has made three starts during her short career, the most notable coming on debut where she finished 2.25 lengths off Manola Bling for third.
She held her own in in the Group 3 Quezzete Stakes to round out her prep earlier in the winter and is likely to receive every chance coming off the speed under apprentice Saffron Osborne.

No. 1 Romantic Choice
Romantic Choice looks ready to take the next step for Tom Dabernig at short odds.
The Toronado mare was outstanding second-up over this same track and distance a fortnight earlier, settling up on the speed before racing clear to win by close to four lengths.
She’s still got scope for improvement early in her prep and the inside gate should afford her another similar sit up on the speed with the claim put to good use.

No. 8 Gallant Prince
Gallant Prince just lacked the dash first-up at Pakenham last month.
Clayton Douglas’ four-year-old was forced to settle for second after weakening over the final 100m, crossing to find the lead early on in a move that likely cost him a stride or two.
The gelding by Trapeze Artist has placed in both attempts second-up in the past, while he should see out 1500m on another dry track with extra fitness on his side.

No. 7 Retourne
Retourne looks up to this if he can settle midfield early in the run.
Danny O’Brien’s gelding finished strongly for third over the mile here on the Heath track a couple of weeks ago, showcasing a strong turn of foot after stalking the speed early on to race past a few.
Whether he’s still wanting further is the main query, but having found the money in six of his eight starts to open his career, you know he’ll give another honest effort if he’s afforded room from the low gate.
