Daily Racing Tips – Thursday, November 21

Indiamo strikes a winnable race on return first-up for Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou.  

The four-year-old Star Witness gelding gave a nice sight on debut to run second at Muswellbrook earlier in March, going on to hold his own at Wyong over 1100m on a very wet track. 

He should find soft conditions under foot here following two recent trials, and does look better suited racing over 1100m fresh from a break. 

American Starlet should be racing with confidence after storming home for her second race win at Warwick Farm first-up. 

A lightly-raced to American Pharoah, this girl gave a terrific sight working home off the speed, unleashing with a strong turn of foot over the final furlong to go clear.  

She’s drawn slightly awkwardly for the rise to 1400m, but after racing at Caulfield last time in work, she might have a class edge over a few of these. 

Mannerheim gets in carrying top weight, but he does have claims over second-up out over the mile. 

Chris Waller’s talented stayer didn’t do much on return over 1300m at Rosehill last start, a journey that was well short of his best with dry conditions not suiting either. 

He’ll appreciate a little juice in the track on this occasion, and although he’ll be wanting longer as his prep progresses, he should prove tough to beat with a bit of luck from the wide gate. 

Private Harry was down to race at Canterbury on Wednesday but was scratched in favour of this easier race instead. 

This guy stalked the speed beautifully out wide at Newcastle on debut, before unleashing with a powerful turn of foot to win by 3.5 lengths.  

The runner-up from that race has gone on to win her next start, so everything stacks up for a similar performance.
