King Of Wessex is drawn to receive every chance under Logan McNeil. 

The four-year-old by Saxon Warrior is second-up after making up decent ground at Bendigo on return where he was unlucky not to finish in the money from wider out. 

He likes the cut in the ground, and with a win to his name over 2000m, the rise in distance from the mile looks perfect at this stage of his prep.

Eyes To Me is competing with the blinkers off for the first time under Aaron Kuru.  

A four-year-old son of Impending, this guy won his maiden two back at the ‘Bool over 2000m, and has since held that form to return a place at Geelong last start over further. 

He was competing off a three-week break that day, so there is room for improvement in just his fifth run back from a spell. If he gets early luck from out wide, he’ll be in this for a long way with wet track experience. 

Major Share is the one to beat in this short sprint race. 

The son of Overshare should have a class edge over a few key rivals, winning back to back starts at Bendigo to lead off his prep, before running on late for second at Caulfield last start behind Marble Nine. 

Some of his best racing has come on rain-affected tracks, while Tom Madden has been the man responsible for all three of his wins so far. 

Privileged Son gets out to a bigger track now after finishing third to Sunday’s favourite Queen Takes King at The Valley last start. 

The Payne-trained six-year-old found the line well from a long way back but was also held up in the run with a subsequent protest eventually being dismissed. 

He meets that same horse better off at the weights this time and is likely to settle towards the tail again in the hopes of saving something for late.
