Football heads back to its respective homes this weekend after a massive Unite Round in Week 5.
The Kiwi sides are absolutely flying and we may have to rebrand to the NZ-League if this keeps up.
Here is my preview of week 6 of the A-League!
The Reds are on a three game win streak and get to take on the winless Perth Glory on Friday night.
It’s no surprise Adelaide are $1.40 favourites for the above reason and I’m fairly confident they’ll get it done over Perth this week.
Perth has lost eight of its last nine games, has only one point to their name in five weeks of competition and “boasts” a goal difference of -14 already.
Don’t overthink this one.
It’s a historical run that Auckland are on right now.
They’re still yet to drop points and have another favourable matchup this week against the 11th placed Newy Jets.
Newcastle has lost four of its last five games, Auckland have never lost and I see them making it five in row here.
Melbourne City are still a powerhouse in this league and will head into this fixture with a heap of confidence after a 5-0 thrashing of the Glory and a bit of a gap between A-League fixtures.
The Wanderers on the other hand have really started this season poorly and have conceded four goals in two of their last three games.
Not a good sign for WSW and the $1.78 price for City in this looks too good not to take up.
The Roar are quite possibly the worst team in the A-League this year and their troubles might be set to compound this weekend with a rough match up against the Bulls.
The Roar are $3.80 underdogs and are on a five game losing streak, will things turn around for them here?
It’s unlikely.
Macarthur have two wins to their name this year and I’m backing them to make it a third here.
United are phat underdogs on Sunday afternoon against the Vics and you’d imagine Melbourne will be out for blood after their shock loss to the Phoenix at Unite Round last week.
John Aloisi’s side are also coming off a win but it was against the Glory so take that how you will.
There is a case to be made for the underdog here, Melbourne Victory has lost each of its last three day games as an away favourite.
I’m not willing to risk it in this one though.
Victory for a victory here.
