The 76ers host the Bucks in a season opener between two heavy hitters in the East.
Unsurprisingly, both Joel Embiid and Paul George will sit this game out through injury, setting the tone for what could be an injury plagued season for Philly.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee’s one-two punch in Giannis and Dame are both fit and raring to go following a disappointing end to the 2023/24 season, while Middleton is set to miss through an ankle injury.
With Embiid and PG13 off the court, Tyrese Maxey is set to be given the keys to the franchise, the young guard had a breakout season in ’23/24, averaging 26 points in the regular season, 30 in the post.
I’m backing Maxey to start the season off with a bang.
The Warriors are set to play their first game in the post Klay era when they head to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers.
However the absence of Thompson provides an opportunity for Kuminga to elevate his game to a new level, and earn himself a max contract.
Portland was god awful last season, finishing dead last in the Western conference standings with a 21-61 record.
This season I can see them tanking even further, as they eye off a chance to draft a generational talent in Cooper Flagg.
The line looks way too short for me here, and I’ll be taking to Dubs to cover at a canter.
