Wyong: Race 4 (2:05pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Phenom

J: Tim Clark (56kg) T: G Waterhouse & A Bott

Phenom should be fast into stride second-up for Waterhouse and Bott.

The Zoustar three-year-old was impressive on return at Port Macquarie, breaking through to win his maiden when he made every post a winner up on the speed.

He was tackling 1200m that day fresh off a lengthy spell, a run that should top him off nicely as he gets out over 100m further with Tim Clark carrying only 1kg extra.

Wyong: Race 6 (3:20pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 1 Reigning King

J: Benjamin Osmond (60.5kg) T: Nathan Doyle

Reigning King looks one of the better bets on the program with a class edge over most of his rivals in this BM68 contest.

Nathan Doyle had this guy humming at the start of his prep, stringing together a pair of impressive wins at Wyong and Newcastle before venturing north to Queensland where he finished down the order at Eagle Farm.

This is a big step back in class and although he landed towards the tail that day, he was only beaten four lengths by the impressive Appin Girl.

There’s been a lot to like about that form since, so if he pushes forward early from the low gate and leads, he’ll be very hard to catch.

Wyong: Race 7 (3:55pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Oakfield Hawk

J: Jason Collett (60kg) T: Kris Lees

Oakfield Hawk is drawn to receive every chance from the inside gate.

This gelding by Dundeel is only lightly-raced for Kris Lees but has impressed in 10 starts so far, winning three occasions and placing twice.

Some of his best work has come on rain-affected tracks and this does rate a slightly easier assignment after grabbing a place last start at Hawkesbury over a touch shorter.

Wyong: Race 8 (4:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 9 She’s Got Veuve

J: Zac Lloyd (55.5kg) T: Chris Waller

She’s Got Veuve gets in carrying just 55.5kg thanks to the claim.

Like others, this might be slightly easier after going around at Kembla Grange first-up off a spell a fortnight ago, a run that saw her bumped early and lacking a bit of conditioning once the whips started to crack.

Out to the mile is a big positive given her only win came over this trip at Newcastle back in March, and with a few of the other key chances drawn a touch awkwardly, she does look one of the safer plays in an open race.
