Hawkesbury: Race 3 (1:25pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 4 Leantothemoon

J: Adam Hyeronimus (57kg) T: Angela Davies

Leantothemoon just needs to find some luck in running from out wide to be a serious contender.

The mare by Lean Mean Machine debuted nicely over the track and distance just over a month ago, overcoming a three-wide ride in transit to charge home late for fourth.

She was beaten 1.3 lengths by Up The Front in the end, a mare who has since gone on to win again at Goulburn.

Hawkesbury: Race 4 (2:05pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 4 Hooligan Tommy

J: Jean Van Overmeire (59.5kg) T: J G Sargent

Hooligan Tommy has his sights set on a hat-trick following two solid wins over the mile.

John Sargent’s gelding has been red-hot over the last couple of months, stepping out off a three-week break in Canberra last start for a comfortable 4.5 length win against Class 1 company.

This is harder again, but the son of Ocean Park did run a place over the track and trip as a three-year-old during the autumn.

Drawn a softer gate this time with JVO steering again, this looks another winnable assignment with confidence beaming.

Hawkesbury: Race 7 (4:55pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 5 River Pat

J: Ashley Morgan (58kg) T: Kim Waugh

River Pat strips fitter second-up for trainer Kim Waugh.

The four-year-old daughter of Headwater caught the eye late in a BM64 on return at Newcastle last month when beaten 1.4 lengths by the in-form Reigning King over shorter.

We saw her run a nice race over this trip when winning on debut at Wyong earlier in February, and she’s again drawn a perfect gate to get back off the speed.

How she handles another dry track is the query, but on pure talent, she’s one of the top chances.

Hawkesbury: Race 8 (4:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 Up The Front

J: Sam Clipperton (58kg) T: Blake Ryan

Up The Front has gone up a nice price ahead of his third run back.

Brock Ryan’s colt has been airborne so far this prep, putting together a pair of solid wins over 1000m at Hawkesbury and Goulburn leading in.

He tackled a Heavy 8 last start for a narrow win, a race he probably could have won by more if he wasn’t held up over the final furlong.

The gate is against him, but back on a dry deck and likely looking for further, he’ll give this a real shake.
