No. 7 Romani Ite Domum
Romani Ite Domum was scratched from Friday’s meeting at The Valley in favour of this more winnable assignment.
The Ribchester gelding was enormous fresh at Sandown on debut, bursting forward to find the front and showcasing a nice turn of foot to hold on late for second.
Harry Coffey gets a crack in the saddle now from a much kinder gate, and I think we’ll see the pair settle forward early and try and dictate the race on their terms.

No. 8 Souk
Souk has a fitness edge over a few of his rivals heading into his third start.
The Freedman-trained son of Street Boss has tackled 1000m in his last two starts since resuming, making up good ground down the outside for second at Ballarat last start in a diving finish.
He’ll be suited racing back on top of the ground here and has drawn to find cover on this occasion closer to the rail.
Now a gelding, a similar effort would see him hard to beat if Craig Williams puts him in the right spot out of the turn.

No. 2 She’s Bulletproof
She’s Bulletproof is first-up for Charlotte Littlefield.
The mare by Shooting To Win has mixed her form in much tougher races than this, last seen finishing second last in the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville in May.
Her previous attempt saw her hold on for a narrow win on the Heath track at Caulfield over 1200m, form that has stacked up nicely since.
Having brushed shoulders with a couple of Group level horses in her recent trial at Cranbourne a fortnight ago, this looks a nice easy assignment for her to lead off her campaign.

No. 12 Sacramental
Sacramental looks a likely improver second-up in a very open race.
This son of Sacred Falls was huge on return for Mitch Freedman at Sandown two weeks ago, presenting at the 200m mark and driving into the finish for second behind the talented Kahhof.
The fact he handled 1300m so well off a break reads extremely well heading into this assignment, and I imagine we’ll see him taken back early from wider out with Jye McNeil retaining the ride.
