No. 2 The Genius
The Genius made a nice impression winning well first-up over the same trip at Cranbourne last month.
A five-year-old son to So You Think, he’s been kept on ice with a five-week break between runs and has drawn perfectly to receive all the favours racing off the speed under Jye McNeil.
He’ll carry 61kg for his troubles, but with superior wet track form compared to some of his rivals, this looks a perfect race for him to take the next step.

No. 5 Nation’s Call
Nation’s Call steps back a level after contesting a BM84 at Caulfield to wrap up his autumn prep.
The Frankel five-year-old was racing in a rich vein of form last time in work, winning two of his four starts and finishing no worse than second overall.
He generally takes a run or two to warm into his prep, but he’s certainly capable of running a nice race over the mile when he returns a gelding for the first time.
Moe: Race 8 (3:50pm)

No. 8 Kettle Hill
Kettle Hill is a talented stayer going around at a good price for Ciaron Maher.
We last saw this son of Gleneagles making up late ground at Ballarat over the mile, a race that was never run to suit given he spotted the rest of the field a bit of a start and took a while to go through the gears.
Even so, he’s run some honest races over 1600m of late that should top him off nicely for the rise in trip.
It’s been a while since he featured in the winner’s circle, but rock-hard fit and just needing the track to stay dry, he has to be considered one of the main chances.
