The Good, The Bad and The Fantasy – NFL Week 3 2024 Recap

The Good, The Bad and The Fantasy – NFL Week 3 2024 Recap

Three weeks of football are officially in the books and the race to lose to the Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl is wide open.

There may be more bad than good in this weeks edition of the Good, the Bad and the Fantasy.

There’s plenty to discuss this week, let’s dive into my week 3 recap!

NFL WEEK 3 TIERLIST

The Good

Aaron Rodgers survives Metlife return

People held their breath in Week 1 this year when ARod ran out to play but personally I was more concerned about his legs in what is considered a borderline cursed field for injuries.

Four snaps in last year, Rodgers achilles did it’s best Antonio Brown impression and snuck out at Metlife but that wasn’t to be this year.

Rodgers wound back the clock on TNF and proved that the Jets will be competitive if he is under centre.

Malik Willis

Like majority of the NFL, I hung a lot of shit on Malik Willis when Jordan Love was announced as out but credit where credit is due, Willis is playing his role perfectly and keeping the Packers alive while Love is out.

13/19 for 202 yards, a passing TD, no INTs and 73 rushing yards and a TD of his own, Willis has proven everyone wrong in a very small amount of time.

It’s sounding like Jordan Love may return soon so enjoy him while it lasts.

Caleb Williams

Bears coaching and O Line = Bad

Caleb Williams = Good

It goes without saying that the Bears still have a very long way to go before they will have a deep playoff campaign but my god Caleb was fun to watch yesterday morning.

He looks a completely different player to the man that debut against the Titans and finished the day with 363 yards with a pair of TDs and couple of INTs.

That was most pass yards by a Bears QB since Brian Hoyer in 2016.

That O-Line film session is going to be a tough watch this week but if Chicago polish that massive blemish up, they will be hard to beat.

The Steelers Defence

Pittsburgh are 3-0 and I don’t want any of y’all giving credit to Justin Fields or the offense.

This is TJ Watt’s team.

Rashee Rice

Can you separate the artist from the art?

There are arguments for both sides but what you can’t argue is that Rice and Mahomes have a very strong connection and it’s being proven on the stat sheet every week.

Rashee has been one of the elite breakouts already this season, KC just need to make sure he cleans up his act away from football.

The Bad

Carolina Panthers

Dalton looked great for Carolina, guiding them to their first win of the year, but all this does is create a bigger mess for the Panthers.

Is Andy Dalton the 36 year old journeyman your franchise QB now? Are you moving forward with him? Was Bryce Young truly the problem? If so what are you going to do with him?

It’s rumoured that multiple teams have sent the Panthers trade offers for Young.

Keeping them both on your roster is going to do nothing but create issues moving forward.

Miami Dolphins

Miami is going backwards very fast and now it looks like backup QB Skylar Thompson will miss some time.

They’ve found themselves in quite a big hole that I’m not sure Tim Boyle can dig themselves out of.

The Fantasy

Congrats to the 34% of Owners that started Jauan Jennings

The Tight End position feels like it’s at an all time low

It might be worth giving BTJ more than two targets a game

The Giants really couldn’t find a few extra million to keep Saquon?

Odell Beckham Jr has been reincarnated in NY
