No. 1 Cote De Caza
Coto De Caza is first-up for John Sargent still searching for his second win.
The lightly-raced four-year-old spent most of the autumn taking on tougher races in town, while he also has some nice form around the likes of Ceolwulf on debut.
His two recent trials have only been plain, but he did run a very nice race for second at Kembla Grange first-up last time in work.
There’s no question he’s looking for further, but the 1400m trip is right up his alley on return.

No. 10 Tenbury Wells
Tenbury Wells is rock-hard fit for Brad Widdup.
This colt by Fastnet Rock came out and won his maiden third-up at Kembla Grange last start over the mile, winding up with a huge run down the outside to storm clear by 2.3 lengths.
This is tougher again, but he was seen doing his best work through the line with a good gap between third and the rest of the field.
Drawn an inside gate and carrying next to no weight, he has to be considered one of the main chances.

No. 5 Miss Couver
Miss Couver is a much better horse than her fresh run at Wyong suggests.
Anthony Cummings’ mare never really responded when something was asked of him down the straight, quickly being sent back to the paddock for a recent trial at Rosehill.
It’s worth noting she has form around the likes of Group 1 Surround Stakes winner Tropical Squall as a three-year-old, and with some added fitness on her side now, we should see a much-improved effort back against her own sex.

No. 3 Hellfire Express
Hellfire Express is making his second start since changing hands to trainer Nathan Doyle’s team.
This four-year-old by Hellbent wasn’t beaten far off a three-week break over the track and distance last start, overracing a little in the early stages before struggling to find a run entering the straight.
He’s a proven 1400m horse with a couple of wins on the board, and from the inside gate, I think we’ll see him settle a little further back off the speed this time.
