The Meadows: Race 5 (8:09pm AEST)
No. 3 Shadows Of Blue

Shadows Of Blue is chasing in great form at the moment with three wins from his past six starts over this course and distance.

The Jeff Britton-trained son of Tommy Shelby impressed last start when quickly recovering from a tardy start to settle second before powering away from his rivals on entering the straight for a 2.5 length win in a best of the night 34.60 seconds.

He regularly runs around that time and recorded a personal best of 34.42 seconds just five starts ago.

He has the early speed to get on the arm and go all the way.

The Meadows: Race 7 (8:52pm AEST)
No. 8 Aston Record

Bad luck had hampered Aston Record before he took luck out of the equation last start at Geelong.

The son of Aston Rupee flew out of the lids to lead over 460m before gapping his rivals on the turn and racing away for a 6.5 length win in a scintillating 25.78 seconds.

This is his first start over this distance but he looked super strong late last start so he should handle the rise.

Box 8 will give him the opportunity to build his momentum and hopefully lead into the first turn.

The Meadows: Race 8 (9:17pm AEST)
No. 2 Mackinaw Peach

Mackinaw Peach returns from a G2 Townsville Cup campaign in Queensland.

The Jeff Britton-trained bitch won her heat of the series before leading until the final 50m of the final to finish second.

Her form prior was very good with a best of the night win at Geelong before showing excellent early speed from box 8 to dead heat over this course and distance.

She’s well drawn in box 2.

The Meadows: Race 11 (10:25pm AEST)
No. 6 Spritely Sian

Spritely Sian enters this race in sparkling form as she looks for four wins in a row.

Three starts back the daughter of Feral Franky registered a best of the night 25.23 seconds when winning over 450m at Warrnambool.

She then won back-to-back races at Geelong in slick times.

She’s undefeated in three starts from box 6 and should get on the arm early.
