Canterbury: Race 3 (2:35pm)

No. 8 After Match
After Match is having his first start for Peter Snowden after resuming a clear winner at Hawkesbury last start over the same trip.
The Zoustar colt burst clear down the centre of the straight to record a soft win on the line, and he only needs luck from wider out this time to go on with the job.
Tommy Berry sticking in the saddle is a major plus, and with a decent gap between runs and a soft track expected, we should see further improvement from this boy.
Canterbury: Race 5 (3:45pm)

No. 3 The Englishman
The Englishman finds it tough to win, but his best is certainly good enough to win a race like this.
The Snowden-trained son of Tavistock has been around the mark over his last two starts, overcoming a slow start to finish second at Randwick two runs back over slightly shorter.
He struggled in testing conditions a fortnight later where he was clearly in the wrong part of the track, but still battled on nicely to just miss out on a place.
Having tackled 1900m in the past, he’s sure to be in the mix again from a perfect gate.
Canterbury: Race 6 (4:20pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Cloudland
Cloudland has trialled up nicely for this ahead of his return.
Kris Lees’ gelding has been given a nice 18 week spell after finishing midfield at Newcastle earlier in April, a run that was a complete forgive from a very difficult gate.
The son of Swiss Ace doesn’t win out fo turn, but he does own a handful of wins first-up – form that reads well following his latest trial win.
Proven on a wet track, in well with the claim, and out over his preferred trip, he ticks a few important boxes.
Canterbury: Race 7 (4:55pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 Yasuke
Yasuke has big scope for improvement third-up with Nash Rawiller back in the irons.
The son of Maurice was one of the runs of the race a few weeks ago at Kensington, going around at good odds to give chase in the run home for second.
He strikes similar conditions here on a soft track and remains only lightly-raced for a five-year-old. If he can settle handy to the speed this time, he should prove hard to beat here over his preferred trip.
