Keen to see Lievore out over further now following two solid runs over the mile.  

The mare by Epaulette looked like she might be wanting longer when placed at Sandown on a heavy track two runs back, before going on to make up enormous late ground after blowing the start at The Valley.  

She’s got the wide gate to contend with, but racing well and back in class, she’ll be thereabouts if she jumps on time.  

Groundrush is a definite each-way chance coming back to compete at BM70 level first-up.  

The Trapeze Artist four-year-old was last in a big field in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes at Randwick to wrap up his autumn prep, clearly outclassed from a very difficult gate on the day.  

That said, he can run a nice race over this short sprint trip and should present with more maturity as a gelding this time. 

There’s no question he’ll want further, but a Top 3 finish isn’t out of the question.  

Varane found excuses when faced with a heavy track at Seymour fresh from a four-week break.  

The wide gate is a concern, but he does get in well with the 3kg claim and is open to improvement back on a dry deck.  

His two career wins have come over the 1300m trip, and if he can get back early in the run and save something for late, he could be a chance in an open race.  

Zou Sensation is facing a sharp rise in trip out to 1400m second-up.  

The Corstens-trained son of Zoustar disappointed for a run fresh at Flemington on a bottomless track, but was far from disgraced finishing 3.5 lengths off.  

He’s proven at this stage of his prep and should find this a slightly easier assignment if he handles the extra 2kgs.
