No. 7 Highland Glory
Highland Glory should find the soft surface to her liking as she gets back out over 2400m.
Dan O’Sullivan’s mare has been a model of consistency of late, returning a place over a similar distance here at Geelong two back, before going one better from out wide at Bendigo in trying conditions.
She’s in well with the claim in a race that is slightly tougher, but after still having plenty left to give through the line three weeks ago, there’s nothing to suggest she can’t go on with things.
Geelong: Race 7 (3:05pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 13 Cadenabbia
Cadenabbia is a progressive mare resuming for Nigel Blackiston.
The daughter of Sepoy has spent time racing in tougher contests than this during her brief career, notably winning at Bendigo to kick off her prep last spring before going on to finish midfield at Caulfield.
Both of her career wins have come fresh and she’s drawn to get a nice run coming off two fairly soft jump outs leading in.
Geelong: Race 8 (3:40pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 1 Harry Got Styles
Harry Got Styles is a Saturday grade horse looking to return to winning form.
We saw this boy win well on debut at Cranbourne back in April, wrapping up his prep around midfield at Flemington where he made up some decent late ground along the outside running rail.
His effort first-up at Caulfield last month was similar, over-racing in a key stage and just lacking the conditioning in the finish.
Fitter now and back in grade, he should be winning a race like this.
