Geelong: Race 3 (7:39pm)
No. 4 Xisan Bale

Xisan Bale has done some of his best racing over the 460m trip here at Geelong.

His best performance came in a nice time of 25.84 seconds and he should be suited dropping back sharply in trip after contesting 525m at The Meadows a week ago.

There looks to be some good early speed in this contest, and if he can settle off the pace early from the middle box, he’ll pile on the pressure late.

Geelong: Race 5 (8:21pm)
No. 6 Aston Lord

Aston Lord should be fast into stride from wider out and take real catching.

The son of Aston Rupee has been in great form of late, winning two of his last four starts, the latest coming by nearly three lengths only a few days ago at Sandown.

With an empty box next door, he should be afforded plenty of room approaching the bend.

Geelong: Race 7 (9:03pm)
No. 3 Lanky Larry

Lanky Larry was the beaten favourite last week when stepping up to tackle this distance range in just his third appearance at the races.

He was entitled to start a short price after winning his maiden at Horsham a week earlier by a whopping six length margin.

Drawn a much better box this time and fitter third-up, he’ll be difficult to hold out coming off the speed.

Geelong: Race 9 (9:45pm)
No. 1 Sharapova Star

Sharapova Star comes back to compete over 400m after finishing 15 lengths off over much further in a tougher race at The Meadows last week.

The daughter of Fernando Bluey shed the maiden tag in impressive style a week earlier at Ballarat and is likely better suited over the shorter trip.

She’s aided by the inside box again and has enough early speed to settle close to the leaders.
