Kipling’s Journey has been around the mark of late, finding the money in four of his last five starts.  

The five-year-old son of Zoustar doesn’t win out of turn, but he does have some nice form around Cunnumulla Fella, who came out and ran a big race last Saturday.  

There’s no knock on his record over the mile and with some relief at the weights under Adin Thompson, a similar effort should see him go close.  

Sistine Explorer presents fitter third-up following two solid efforts on the Gold Coast and at Ipswich recently.  

The Brazen Beau mare charged late to just miss out a fortnight ago and has some likable form around recent Group 3 winner Vagrant to her name earlier in the year.  

The claim has been put to good use and she should find a slightly wet track right up her alley.  

Battlefield is the class runner this field on recent form. 

The Deep Field gelding bolted in to claim another win at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago, storming the line from a long way back to go on and win by 1.5 lengths.  

He’s got a job at hand from a slightly wide gate, but getting back out over further, there’s nothing to suggest he can’t go on and claim his hat-trick with scope for further improvement.  

Jukebox In Siberia has each-way claims in a wide-open race to end the day.  

This mare by Russian Revolution has found excuses in both runs since resuming, struggling from a long way back fresh before finding the poly track on the Gold Coast not to her liking. 

She won’t know herself dropping 4kg with the blinkers on for the first time, while an improving track under foot should be ideal.
