No. 7 Deep Vegas
Deep Vegas debuts here following an impressive piece of work at Doomben.
The Tony Gollan-trained Deep Field filly settled on speed before dashing clear under her own steam to win the 1000m trial by five lengths in a slick time that was quicker than what black-type placed Ef Troop ran on the same day.
She’s drawn perfectly in barrier 4 for Angela Jones which should see her settle in a prominent position.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 2 (12:33PM AEST)

No. 2 Cliodhna Maeve
Cliodhna Maeve was luckless when resuming for new trainer Paul Shailer over 1110m at Doomben last start.
The former New Zealand filly enjoyed a lovely run behind the leader but couldn’t get clear in the straight when appearing to have plenty to offer and finished 4.1 lengths sixth.
Stewards queried Andrew Mallyon’s tactics and now Michael Rodd will take the ride.
She again draws the inside barrier which should see Rodd take up a forward position with limited speed in the race.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 6 (2:53PM AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 5 Without Revenge
Without Revenge was a horror watch when resuming over 1350m at Ipswich last start.
The Corey and Kylie-Geran-trained gelding got caught in a horrible position three deep and understandably didn’t produce a whimper in the run home, finishing last.
He’ll strip fitter second-up and is a quality galloper having won the Ballina Cup and placed in the Listed Tails Stakes and Bernborough Plate last preparation.
Justin Huxtable takes the ride and will give him every chance from the inside barrier.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 (3:28PM AEST)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 4 Battlefield
Battlefield was very good in his first start for Barry Lockwood when resuming over 1110m at Doomben last start.
The three-year-old Deep Field gelding settled well back after drawing an outside barrier, but let down powerfully to finish 1.3 lengths second to Navyonthehighway who ran super on Saturday here when finishing second.
He’ll have taken great benefit from the run and went within a nose of winning when second-up last preparation.
Given the way he ran on first-up, the rise to 1300m will suit and he’s drawn to settle closer for Robbie Dolan.
