Hawkesbury: Race 3 (1:35pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Tajawal

J: Tyler Schiller (59kg) T: Annabel Neasham

Tajawal is untested on a heavy track but does boast strong claims with three runs under his belt now.

The four-year-old son of Frankel was attempting a sharp rise in trip at Canterbury three weeks ago out to 1900m, a race that saw him run on late after copping some interference out of the gates.

He’s handled wet tracks okay in all three attempts since returning to work and was also placed over a similar journey back home in the UK last year.

Drawn another handy gate with Tyler Schiller engaged, he’s likely to feature prominently up on the speed.

Hawkesbury: Race 6 (3:25pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 2 Chartwell

J: Anna Roper (60.5kg) T: Annabel Neasham

Chartwell finds a winnable race back slightly in grade.

Annabel Neasham’s four-year-old by Churchill resumed three weeks ago at Canterbury beaten close to five lengths, only weakening over his final few strides in a BM72 contest over further.

He’s mixed his form on wet tracks in the past but genuinely improves second-up.

In well with the claim and drawn to get the gun run back in distance, he looks a major player.

Hawkesbury: Race 7 (4:05pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 5 Nightingale

J: Zac Lloyd (59.5kg) T: James Cummings

Nightingale has drawn awkwardly but does warrant big respect following two impressive trials on heavy tracks.

The Godolphin filly shed the maiden tag last July at Newcastle on a much firmer surface, resuming at Kembla Grange earlier in April before being sent back for a freshen.

Zac Lloyd got a good feel for her that day and the pair figure to push forward early and look to dictate on the speed. Betting that previous run has topped her off nicely as she gets out over further now off a good break between runs.

Hawkesbury: Race 8 (4:40pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Each Way

No. 13 Vegas Dream

J: Regan Bayliss (56.5kg) T: Mitchell Beer

Vegas Dream’s recent form reads well for this.

Mitch Beer’s three-year-old has landed in the money in four of his nine starts to date, his latest coming two back at Goulburn where he probably would have won if he wasn’t a touch too keen in the early going.

His wet track form gets a big tick and this isn’t much tougher despite the added weight under Regan Bayliss.

Out over further and hard fit for three runs back, I’m happy to go each way in an open race.
