Daily Racing Tips – Sunday 21st July

Sunshine Coast: Race 2 (12:52pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 1 King Klaus

J: Dale Smith (61kg) T: Gary Clem

King Klaus returns to the races.

The eight year old holds a very handy record of fourteen wins from his thirty-two career starts and he just loves it here at the Sunshine Coast.

Prepared at Bundaberg, the gelding does race particularly well fresh and this certainly looks a winnable assignment for him.

He’ll find this easier than what he was contesting last campaign and I don’t think the 61kgs will prove an issue.

Best of the day

Sunshine Coast: Race 3 (1:33pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win Market Mover

No. 2 Lady Lucifer

J: James Orman (60kg) T: David Vandyke

There was a lot to like about the debut performance of Lady Lucifer and I think she can go one better today.

Over the 1000m here, the Hellbent filly settled midfield and when asked for an effort in the straight she fought strongly to claim second.

She will have taken good natural improvement from the run and the winner of that race has since again, franking the form.

Jimmy Orman will do the steering for local trainer David Vandyke.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 (4:08pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 5 Savileo

J: James Orman (59kg) T: Jack Bruce

Savileo has been racing well and looks nicely placed back to provincial level with the slight drop in grade.

It’s been a long time between drinks for the son of Savabeel but he looks to have a lot in his favour here.

He didn’t have the best of runs two starts back over the 2040m at Doomben.

After getting a long way back he ran into a dead end but was doing his best work late.

Last time, he again kept working solidly to the line at Eagle Farm and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into third.

He’s hard fit, he’ll relish the big track and should find this easier than what he’s been contesting.

Sunshine Coast: Race 8 (4:43pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 14 Turbulent

J: Cejay Graham (58.5kg) T: Sam Strazzieri

Turbulent will kick off for the new stable.

Formally prepared at Randwick, the Russian Revolution gelding has only recorded the one win from nine starts but he hasn’t been far away in his most recent runs and the form around him is solid.

He looked to be doing it easily when wining a recent Deagon trial and he does perform well fresh.

He meets easier opposition here and from gate five, should enjoy an economical run under Cejay Graham.
