Daily Dogs Tips – Friday, July 5

Ipswich: Race 1 (3:27pm AEST)
No. 1 Whiskey Cartel

Whiskey Cartel looks close to a win after finishing second in her first two starts.

The Ned Snow-trained dog chased home the handy Special Werina over this course and distance in 25.44 seconds.

He improved from start one to start two and further improvement here will see him hard to beat.

From the inside box, he should be able to find the front early.

Ipswich: Race 3 (4:09pm AEST)
No. 8 Shimmering Reign

Shimmering Reign was excellent when jumping from this box over this course and distance on debut.

The daughter of Shima Shine went to the front early and was never headed, stopping the clock in 25.45 seconds.

Her two subsequent races have seen her jump well but then encounter problems but that shouldn’t be a problem here with her once again wearing the pink rug.

This looks the right field for her to be able to get back in the winner’s circle.

Ipswich: Race 5 (4:55pm AEST)
No. 2 Revived

Revived looks incredibly well placed here dropping back in grade.

The son of Whiskey Riot finished at the tail of the field as was expected last start at Capalaba but can bounce back with a return to Ipswich where he has won and placed in ten of his 15 starts.

Three starts back he flew out of box 1 over this course and distance to win in 25.18 seconds.

He has the early speed to burn off the dog to his inside and get on the arm which should see him hard to run down.

Ipswich: Race 8 (5:46pm AEST)
No. 4 Sagai Miss

Sagai Miss has turned her form around since coming to Ipswich two starts ago.

The Fernando Bale bitch led all the way two starts back to win in 25.32 seconds, but it was her effort over this course and distance last start that was outstanding.

She exploded out of box 7 before putting 8.5 lengths on her rivals to win in 25.09 seconds.

She’s drawn a touch sticky in box 4, but she’s a quick beginner and there doesn’t look as much speed drawn around her.
