UFC Fight Night: Perez vs Taira Preview

UFC Fight Night: Perez vs Taira Preview

The UFC Apex will host Fight Night this weekend, with former world title contender Alex Perez and the number 13 ranked flyweight Tatsuro Taira headlining the card.

There’s a lot to unravel in the lead-up to Fight Night and I share my thoughts in the link below.

best bet
Alex Perez vs Tatsuro Taira – UFC Main Event
Tatsuro Taira to win via KO/TKO or Submission

Headlining UFC Fight once again is Alex Perez, who has a lot to prove when he steps into the octagon with undefeated prospect Tatsuro Taira.

Taira has been nothing short of dominant since joining the UFC in 2022 – finishing three of his last five opponents.

Now I don’t want to say Perez has no chance, however, his form suggests that could be the case – losing three of his last five pro bouts.

You can’t help but suggest that the winner will be in line for a title shot, and I can’t go past Taira to clinch this one way or another.

Ikram Aliskerov vs Antonio Trocoli
FIGHT CANCELLED FRIDAY MORNING

A cracking Co-Main that belongs on a pay-per-view main card will show Ikram Aliskerov back in the octagon against UFC debutant Antonio Trocoli.

Trocoli has been thrown into the deep end as Ikram has won each of his last two UFC bouts by way of knockout.

Opening as a $1.07 favourite, it’s very difficult to look past Aliskerov and a play on him to finish Antonio Trocoli in Round 1 will have me all over it.

Timmy Cuamba vs Lucas Almeida
Timmy Cuamba to win via KO/TKO or Points

Lightweight action is expected to be fought and won when Timmy Cuamba and Lucas Almeida face off in what will be a redemption bout for the pair.

Both Cuamba and Almeida on their days are both incredible strikers, and their chins will be tested this weekend.

Timmy Cuamba has won all eight pro bouts by way of knockout or points and he seems to be the ideal pick for me.
