UFC 303 Preview

UFC 303 Preview

UFC 303 is live in the sporting capital of the world, Las Vegas, with Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka headlining one of the biggest cards of the year this Sunday!

But we can’t forget about the Co-Main, with seasoned veteran Brian Ortega and rising superstar Diego Lopes battling it out for a future title shot.

There’s a stacked card to look over and you can find my plays down below.

best bet
Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka
Jiri Prochazka To Win Via KO/TKO

Our late replacement Main Event is expected to deliver fireworks, with UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira defending against Jiri Prochazka.
Pereira wants to prove to the world that his first win against Jiri wasn’t a fluke, even though we did see an early stoppage in my opinion.

In my opinion, it was nothing short of a fluke, with Jiri Prochazka stepping into the octagon this Sunday with a vengeance and I think he has the chance to claim the gold he never lost.

Jiri Prochazka has won nine of his last 10 fights via knockout and I think he’ll reclaim his title the same way he’s won fights in the past.

Brian Ortega vs Diego Lopes
Diego Lopes to win via KO/TKO or Submission

Also on the main card, we’ve got Brian Ortega meeting Diego Lopes in the entertaining Featherweight division.

Lopes is coming off announcing a life-changing contract extension, and it would seem like Dana White is ushering Lopes into superstardom, giving him a challenging  dance partner in Brian Ortega.

Ortega needs to control the fight nice and early, as Diego Lopes is a fan of wrapping fights up nice and quickly, and the longer this fight goes, the better chance Ortega has in winning this one.

The bookies are looking at Lopes and so am I with a three-fight finishing streak, a play on Lopes to win via KO/TKO or submission is the way to go for me.

Anthony Smith vs Roman Dolidze
Anthony Smith to win

Yet another last-minute booking will feature on the main card, with Anthony Smith and Roman Dolidze not even considered on this card until a drama show like few weeks elevating themselves onto the International Fight Week card.

It hard to fathom why Anthony Smith is listed as the underdog (at the time of writing), he did beat rising star Vitor Petrino at $6 odds.

Smith is far superior with his striking and he can defend himself on the ground and I believe he has the capability to make it two pay-per-view wins in a row.
