Nine races will be contested at Morphettville this Saturday, June 22nd.
The track is currently rated a Soft 6 with a chance of showers.
Our Adelaide racing expert Ben Said shares his thoughts on each race below.
Now we have been with him his last couple and he just keeps finding one better.
He finds a weaker race again here and with even luck he should be too good.
Stubby Holder goes onboard and takes over from Ben Price, I hope they roll straight to the front and take luck out of it, which I think they will.
Looks an even maiden event on paper with a few debutants and the race brigade look beatable.
I have found the first starter on top RICHIE D’AMOUR, his trials and jump out have been very impressive to the eye and he looks to be more than capable of winning this race on debut.
She is racing well this mare, she struggles to string a couple of wins together with her race pattern getting a long way back. In saying that, she has been in some big fields of late finds a small field here which she can sit closer to the front runners and use that nice turn of foot to pick them up late.
He is racing in very consistent form and finds a winnable race here with his main dangers drawn out wide.
He maps to get a lovely run just in behind the speed and gets his chance to bounce back in the winners circle.
Impressive winner last start at Ballarat, he comes to a Saturday race here that doesn’t look overly strong on paper. His main danger HYPEMAN is going to have to overcome the wide draw and we should be able to position up right on the speed and give a great sight.
Cleary the superior stayer here, she has been ticking over nicely in Victoria this preparation should be bang on now, ready to win 4th up.
She a wide draw to contest but that won’t be a concern, as I expect her to roll straight to the front and be very hard to beat.
Sprouted wings late to win last start after coming across from Phil Stokes’ Pakenham base.
He was in good form before that but the way he sprinted here last start tells me he has really settled in well in SA.
Looks to be good speed in this race, he will get back and savage the line and a repeat of last start would see him storm over the top of them late.
He performed really well with no luck at Caulfield last start off a freshen up and looks well placed here back in grade..
I expect him to be ridden cold from the wide draw and have the last shot at them.
His best form wins this race and he looks very well placed.
He has been costly of late this bloke but he hasn’t had much luck at all.
He simply should have won last start behind THREE RINGS, who has since franked the form and won again.
He finds a very winnable race and should bounce back into the winners list this Saturday.
I think he looks the best on the card at Morphettville.
