Choice Legend gave a nice sight when finishing strongly down the centre of the straight on return at Hawkesbury last month.  

The Extreme Choice mare is still in search of her first rin, but she does look suited by the wet conditions after handling soft going at Newcastle quite well on debut.  

Drawn a softer gate second-up, expect to see another forward showing under Tyler Schiller.

Kadavar looks one of the better value plays coming off a forgive effort in teh Rough Habit at Doomben three weeks ago from out wide.  

Chris Waller’s gelding was strong to the line the start prior at Eagle Farm over 1800m, running third after giving good chase from midfield.  

Bred to eat up these longer staying trips and in much better off at the weights, we should see him making amends in a slightly easier race.  

Mafia resumes for Team Snowden following a handy trial win at Randwick leading in.  

This promising three-year-old hasn’t been seen since the spring when finishing fourth in a small field at Warwick Farm before being sent back for a spell.  

The blinkers come off now for the first time, and if he can build on that trial run with conditions to suit, there’s a case to be made for him each-way.  

Pure Alpha is a clear on top selection based on recent form.  

Chris Waller had this bloke revved up three weeks ago at Warwick Farm where he simply found Able Willie a touch better over his final few strides.  

James McDonald has a good feel for him now and is likely to receive more favours this time from a much better gate.  

Suited by a wet track, there should be big improvement to come.
