No. 3 Quinky Deel

J: Zac Lloyd (57.5kg) T: Damien Lane

Quinky Deel is a value chance in an open race.

The Dundeel three-year-old has returned a place in his last two starts over shorter, sticking to the task nicely at Armidale a few weeks ago over 1900m to finish second on a rain-affected track.

This is his first look over 2000m but he should find similar conditions to suit.

If Zac Lloyd can find cover early from out wide and save his best for late, the pair should go close.

Wyong: Race 3 (1:25pm)

Win

No. 6 Silvakia

Silvakia doesn’t win out of turn but does look to have scope for improvement after finishing midfield at Kembla Grange on return last month.

The daughter of Reliable Man struck a heavy track over slightly shorter, finding the front at the 300m mark where she quickened nicely to finish fifth.

Barrier 4 is to her advantage and she does have a pair of wins next to her name on soft going.

Wyong: Race 6 (3:15pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 1 Mafia

J: Regan Bayliss (59.5kg) T: Peter & Paul Snowden

Mafia resumes for Team Snowden after being scratched from Wednesday’s Kensington meeting.

This promising three-year-old hasn’t been seen since the spring when finishing fourth in a small field at Warwick Farm before being sent back for a spell.

The blinkers come off now for the first time, and if he can build on his recent trial win at Randwick with conditions to suit, he looks well-placed to return to the winner’s stall.

Wyong: Race 8 (4:25pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 6 World Alliance

J: Tyler Schiller (60kg) T: Matthew Smith

World Alliance is unbeaten first-up and looks tough to hold out coming off a handy trial win at Randwick a fortnight ago.

Matthew Smith’s gelding claimed his second win over a similar trip at Beaumont during the spring before tackling tougher races late last year where he was strong to the line on each occasion.

Tyler Schiller gets the ride and just needs to shuffle across early and find cover to be a serious chance.
