No. 7 Magic Pharaoh
Magic Pharaoh presents fitter for three runs back and looks set to peak now for trainer Lou Mary.
The four-year-old mare by American Pharaoh has managed only two wins from 17 starts so far, but has spent time racing against tougher company at Rosehill and Scone this time in work.
She showed improvement to finish third off a wide run in transit out to 1700m last start, an effort that suggested she’ll appreciate the drop back in trip.
Capable of handling a wet track and in light at the weights, this looks a nice race for her to go on with the job.

No. 3 Broken Hill
Broken Hill has big scope for improvement second-up.
The son of Lonhro was held up badly at the 300m mark at Scone on return, beaten over three lengths in the end after lugging 62kg around.
He’s been charged with the same weight with Shae Wilkes retaining the ride, but does map to get the gun run in transit this time from barrier one.
Some extra rain would be welcome, but with two of his four wins occurring second-up from a spell, he should be one of the toughest to hold out.
Tamworth: Race 7 (3:35pm)

No. 3 Don’tcha Think
Don’tcha Think comes back to compete at a country level after struggling from out wide at Rosehill a month ago from a wide gate.
The gelding by So You Think has drawn another difficult assignment from barrier 12 but is likely to appreciate a firmer track after tiring in the heavy conditions last time out.
His second win here at Tamworth came two runs back under Darryl McLellan and the pair reunite here over the same journey.
With another early speed to offset the wide gate and find cover, this looks a winnable race for him at a decent price.
Tamworth: Race 8 (4:15pm)

No. 8 Not Written Off
Not Written Off returns from a lengthy six-month spell with a pair of solid trial performances to her name.
Stephen Jones’ filly hasn’t been seen since she finished last on a bottomless track at Taree last December, but this does look a winnable assignment after winning her maiden over the 1000m trip at Quirindi.
Ashley Morgan jumps in the irons for the first time and the pair map to take up the charge early from barrier six.
