Sunshine Coast: Race 2 (3:57pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 10 Termagant

J: Emily Lang (59kg) T: S O'Dea & M Hoysted

Termagant just needs luck to go his way from wide out to pick up where he left off last time in work.

This promising colt for Steven O’Dea and Matthew Hoystead flew home to win his maiden over the track and trip back in January, shifting through the gears with relative ease to go five lengths clear.

His recent trial was another handy piece of work and he should prove very difficult to hold out on return.

Sunshine Coast: Race 4 (5:10pm)

Win

No. 5 Cool Encounter

Cool Encounter handles some sting out of the track and is worth forgiving on his latest effort at Doomben over a similar trip.

The son of Fighting Sun was slow away and always too far back at the turn, a disappointing run after charging the line late for third over the 1400m trip here on the Sunshine Coast 10 days earlier.

Hard fit though and coming back a level, this should be a winnable assignment if Jake Bayliss can save him for late.

Sunshine Coast: Race 6 (6:20pm)

Win

No. 4 Don Quixote

Don Quixote should find this a tad easier after competing at BM62 level last time out at Ipswich.

The five-year-old son of Pierro had a wide gate to overcome and never found clear air down the straight, finishing down the order in his second run back from a spell.

He’s drawn awkwardly again under Robbie Dolan, but does get in carrying 3kg less on a slightly firmer track. Proven third-up, I’m happy to have something on each way.

Sunshine Coast: Race 7 (6:50pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win Market Mover

No. 2 Ring Me Up

J: James Orman (57.5kg) T: Chris Waller

The rise to 2200m is the only real query regarding Ring Me Up.

This daughter of American Pharoah has spent time competing at Saturday grade of late, notably running second over 1800m at Eagle Farm two back – form that has been franked with the third place getter Kadavar coming out and winning on Wednesday.

Draws to get the gun run along the rail under James Orman and is likely to prove too good when it matters most.
