UFC Fight Night is live from St. Louis this weekend with fan favourite and number 12 ranked Heavyweight Derrick Lewis squaring off against the in-form Nascimento in an intriguing headliner that will see a heavyweight contender elevate his stock towards a future title shot.
My full preview along with my plays for this weekend’s Fight Night can be found below.
His balls may be hot, but his form in the octagon hasn’t been.
Derrick Lewis is back this weekend, hoping to get a winning streak going after several poor performances of late.
Nascimento on the other hand has 11 wins to his name, including a four-fight unbeaten streak.
The Brazilian heavyweight will provide a great level of pressure on Lewis and if he keeps Lewis on the ground, I don’t mind the underdog winning this one via points.
St. Louis native Joaquin has finally had his voice heard, after hijacking the UFC 300 press conference, the number 11 ranked Welterweight had his wish granted by featuring on the UFC Fight Night card this weekend.
Buckley has won two of his last three professional bouts via knockout and with that stat provided along with the fact he’s the home town hero, Buckley cant afford to lose this fight.
Carlos Ulberg has also finally got his wish, after a five-fight win streak, the Kiwi has now landed his first-ranked opponent in number 11 ranked Light Heavyweight, Alonzo Menifield.
Ulberg was last seen in Sydney after submitting Da Woon Jung at UFC 293 and sheesh did he look solid or what?
The Kiwi has finished each of his last four opponents and a play on the double chance market is the plan for me.
