Premier League Game Week 38 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 38 Tips & Preview

After nine months, 37 match weeks, 370 games, and 33,3300+ minutes of play, only two points seperate Man City (1st) and Arsenal (2nd) in the race for the 2023/24 Premier League title.

All ten EPL fixtures are set to kickoff at 1:00AM Monday (AEST), with fans tuning in from every corner of the globe.

Most eyes will be flicking between two fixtures, Man City vs West Ham and Arsenal vs Everton.

Will the Sky Blues win a historic fourth straight league title, or will the Gunners lift the Premiership trophy for the first time in 20 years?!

Our Offside Oracle has previewed all ten Premier League fixtures and provided his best bets below.

LIVERPOOL VS WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
Liverpool to Win & Over 3.5 Goals $1.80

Following a recent dip in form, Liverpool have been forced to watch the title race from the grandstands alongside the 17 teams below them.

Although the Reds can neither improve or damage their final position of third, they still has something massive to play for, a hero’s send off for their adored and departing manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Again, I can’t see defence playing a huge role in this fixture, as such, I’ll be backing the Reds to win in spectacular fashion.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION VS MANCHESTER UNITED
Brighton & Hove Albion $2.05

Brighton and Man United have largely underperformed and both look likely to miss out on European football next season.

The Red Devils have failed to win their last five away league fixtures, most recently going down 4-0 on the road to Crystal Palace.

The Seagulls haven’t fared much better, losing three of their last five home PL fixtures (2W), but they can take confidence from the fact they’ve defeated Man U in four straight league meetings.

I’m backing United to have a fitting end to their season, by letting down their fans one final time.

BRENTFORD VS NEWCASTLE UNITED
Newcastle United $2.20

Newcastle travels to Brentford with European football on the line.

Unlike the Toon, Brentford has absolutely nothing to play for here, in fact, the Bees dropped tools months ago.

Newcastle has won their last four meetings against Brentford and I’m backing them to go five straight here.

SHEFFIELD UNITED VS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Tottenham Hotspur and Under 4.5 Goals $2.30

Spurs head to Sheffield looking to lock down fifth place with a victory over the disastrously bad Blades.

United have lost six games on the trot, conceding 19 goals across the trip.

Tottenham have a similar form-line, losing five of their last six games (1W), throwing away a chance to play UCL next season.

As bad as Spurs have been, I cannot justify backing the Blades.

Tottenham to win & over 4.5 goals.

BURNLEY VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Both Teams to Score & Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.41

The Clarets farewell the Premier League with a home fixture against Forest.

Somehow, Nottingham Forest have secured their topflight survival, despite winning just eight games this season.

Both sides play an open and attacking style of football, and I’m backing them both to find the back of the net on multiple occasions here.

ARSENAL VS EVERTON FC
Arsenal to Nil $1.93

The Gunners will need to win this fixture and hope Man City slip up against the Hammers should they claim their first league title in 20 years.

Arsenal have won their last five league fixtures, keeping a clean sheet in four said victories.

Meanwhile, the Toffees locked in the league survival a few weeks back, finishing at least 11 points clear of the drop zone despite having eight competition points deducted through financial fair play breaches.

The job is done for Everton, and I’m expecting the Gunners to knock them over without conceding.

MANCHESTER CITY VS WEST HAM UNITED
SGM: Haaland to Score & City to Win & Over 4.5 Goals $2.47

Man City are one win away from claiming a historic fourth straight league title, and doesn’t it just make you sick!

West Ham are the side tasked with the duty of preventing this atrocity, but do the Hammers stand a chance here?

Recent history suggests not.

City has won 15 of their last 16 home games against the Irons (1L), their only defeat coming nine years ago when Payet (the streets will never forget) was pulling strings at the Hammers.

I’m backing the Citizens to win this one in style, taking Haaland to score, City to Win and Over 4.5 Total Goals.

LUTON TOWN VS FULHAM
Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.20

Barring a 12-goal victory, Luton Town will be bidding farewell to the Premier League when the welcome Fulham to Kenilworth Rd.

Meanwhile, the Cottagers can finish as high as 12th and as low as 14th (their current position).

With pretty much nothing left to play for, I’m expecting both sides to look to finish the season in entertaining fashion, with a positive attacking approach to this fixture.

I’m backing in a final day fill up.

CHELSEA VS AFC BOURNEMOUTH
Chelsea and Over 4.5 Goals $3.10

Chelsea are finishing the season with a wet sail.

Once a laughing stock, the Blues are now on the blink of stealing fifth spot away from London rivals Tottenham.

Chelsea have won seven of their last eight games at the Bridge (1D) across all comps.

Alternatively, the Cherries are labouring down the final straight of the season, losing four of their last seven fixtures (2W,1L), subsequently dropping into the bottom half of the table.

I have the Blues winning big here.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS ASTON VILLA
Crystal Palace to Win $1.85

With five wins from their last six games, behind Man City & Arsenal, the Eagles are arguably the form side of the comp.

Alternatively, the Villans have failed to win across their last five games in all comps, though that shouldn’t matter, assuming the Spurs don’t upset the Citizens midweek, Aston Villa have secured a long awaited return to Champions League Football!

With their destiny sealed, I can imagine the Villans dropping tools and allowing Palace to push towards a once unlikely top half finish.
