Canterbury: Race 3 (2:10pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 11 Eraantyva

J: Tommy Berry (58kg) T: Chris Waller

Eraantyva is an experienced wet tracker making her third start for Chris Waller in Race 3.

This filly by Zoustar put forward an eye-catching effort on debut here earlier in the month to run second in a small field, improving sharply two weeks later at Gosford where she let down with a sensational turn of foot to win her maiden.

Her latest effort out to 1200m came on a Heavy 8, so these slightly firmer conditions should suit.

Drawn to get the gun run along the rail, this looks a very winnable race for her to go on with the job.

Canterbury: Race 5 (3:20pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Each Way

No. 9 Missile Seeker

J: Rachel King (55.5kg) T: Gary Portelli

Missile Seeker is an in-form three-year-old out of the Gary Portelli camp that looks capable of running a nice race over further now.

The son of Smart Missile has been crying out for longer over his last two starts, rattling home late for third at Newcastle a few weeks ago once a gap opened up down the straight.

This is tougher, but Rachel King gets in the saddle carrying only 55.5kg with conditions to suit. If the pair find luck from wider out, they should be in the finish.

Canterbury: Race 6 (3:55pm)

Win

No. 11 Silent Raindrops

Silent Raindrops is competing in the blinkers again following a complete forgive effort at Kensington a fortnight ago.

Joe Pride’s mare was faced with heavy conditions and found to have a poor recovery post-race, but all signs suggest he’s bounced back nicely ahead of his third-up attempt.

A firmer track should see him bounce back after running well the start prior for second at Wyong fresh from a spell.

Tim Clark gets into the irons with little weight and the pair should be afforded a well-timed ride off the speed.

Canterbury: Race 7 (4:30pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 14 Worth Avenue

J: Tyler Schiller (55kg) T: Peter & Paul Snowden

Worth Avenue handled the 1900m trip nicely when third at Newcastle to close out her spring prep last November.

The Snowden-trained filly by Trapeze Artist has been around the mark in two runs back, finding the line strongly for third at Hawkesbury fresh, and then landing midfield in a Class 1 at Scone off a wide run in transit.

A truly wet track might test her, but with her maiden win coming third-up lat time in work, she should run a strong race under Tyler Schiller from a handy gate.
