Kembla Grange: Race 2 (1:10pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 5 Primo

J: Koby Jennings (59kg) T: M, W & J Hawkes

Primo is a proven wet tracker that looks capable of handling the slight rise to 1400m in his fourth run back.

The son of Sizzling won his maiden over the track and trip two back on a Heavy 10, before overcoming a wide ride in transit three weeks ago at Newcastle where he finished a length second to Dimaggio.

The wide gate leaves Koby Kennings with work to do, but given he this smart four-year-old likes to get back off the speed, it might just help him save something extra for the finish.

Kembla Grange: Race 4 (2:20pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 5 Monte Kate

J: Tommy Berry (57.5kg) T: R & L Price

Monte Kate can mix her form but if she produces an effort similar to last week’s run, she’ll be very tough to beat.

The Price-trained daughter of I Am Invincible looked home over the same trip, leading into the straight where she was nutted right on the line by Hay Pearl on a bottomless track.

A little less cut in the ground could prove the difference with the class of Tommy Berry engaged this time.

Kembla Grange: Race 6 (3:35pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 8 Wild Calm

J: Jason Collett (58kg) T: Annabel Neasham

Wild Calm is competing in the blinkers again after finding excuses in her last two starts.

Alysha Collett lost the whip aboard Annabel Neasham’s mare just under a month ago over 2000m, while the run prior saw her a little fractious at the barriers where she was beaten 4.7 lengths at Gosford.

Getting back to the mile is a tick in the right box and she has done some of her best racing on wet tracks.

Looks tough to hold out if she gets the right run in transit.

Kembla Grange: Race 7 (4:15pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

Win

No. 5 Emmadella

J: Jason Collett (58kg) T: John P Thompson

Emmadella looks set to peak now third-up for John Thompson.

This filly by All Too Hard was denied by a narrow margin off a four-week break at Scone to weeks ago, overcoming some late traffic to hit the line hard in a bunched finish.

Off that, the rise to 1400m shouldn’t pose much of a challenge if Jason Collet can establish a spot close to the speed.
