No. 1 Beautiful View
Beautiful View is a 12 start maiden well overdue for a breakthrough.
The gelding by Alpine Eagle has race fitness on his side, finding the money in his last two starts at Stawell and Kyneton with a good gap between.
The blinkers go on for the first time under Jamie Mott, the experienced hoop having a good feel for the four-year-old with three sits under the belt.
Drawn well on a quick back up, this looks to be a clear target race that the stable think he can win.

No. 6 She’s Pretty Rich
It’s been a long time in between drinks for She’s Pretty Rich, but her best is certainly good enough to give this a shake.
Matthew Brown’s mare showed real improvement second-up over the 1200m trip at Mornington last time out to finish second, simply run down by the fast-finishing Sunset Beauty over her final strides.
The Written Tycoon mare only needs to hold that form to be a factor in this open race, and if the rain continues to fall, she should be suited by the conditions with the claim also put to good use.

No. 10 Alpinova
Alpinova looks another each-way play on return for trainer Michael Huglin.
Only lightly-raced for a four-year-old, the daughter of Alpine Eagle found the line nicely in a recent trial here at Moe, the first time we’ve seen her since finishing midfield at Ballarat during the spring.
The 1000m trip is ideal for her first-up from a nice soft gate and she does have experience racing in the wet. Looks tough to hold out if she gets the right cart into the race from midfield.

No. 5 Jimmy Manolo
Jimmy Manolo is low key flying for Matthew Smith deep into his prep.
The experienced six-year-old improved on a runner-up effort at Ararat two back to win his next start over the same distance, bolting into the clear over the final furlong to gap his rivals by a good margin.
He’ll carry a couple of extra kg’s for his troubles this time but does get Fred Kersley in the saddle operating from a decent draw.
Fitter and out over further, he should be just as strong in the finish.
