Hawkesbury: Race 2 (12:50pm)

No. 4 Ladyking
Ladyking is a five-start maiden returning to the mile for trainer John O’Shea.
The filly by Japanese sire Maurice found the line for second over this trip at Gosford two runs back, then going on attempt further at Newcastle two weeks ago where she was always wide in the run home.
She won’t want it too wet under foot but does get the added benefit of Tyler Schiller returning to the irons. Maps to get a nice run from midfield and should take beating with fitness on her side.
Hawkesbury: Race 5 (2:40pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 5 Betsy’s Flag
Betsy’s Flag gets in well with the claim and appears much better suited over these shorter sprint trips.
Jo Pride’s mare was beaten just over a length two back at Canterbury over further in similar conditions, before weakening badly on a bottomless Heavy 10 at Warwick Farm last time out.
Hard fit now for three runs back and in well at the weights with the claim, she rates highly with the low gate also in her favour.
Hawkesbury: Race 6 (3:15pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 2 Snatchreilly
Winning form is good form and that is exactly what Snatchreilly brings with him into his seventh career start.
This colt by Trapeze Artist is flying so far this prep, rattling off back-to-back placings at Gosford and Hawkesbury before finally shedding the maiden tag at Newcastle a fortnight ago.
His late speed was on full display when he drew clear by a big margin, and with the inside gate to his advantage, he should prove just as tough to hold out under Keagan Latham.
Hawkesbury: Race 7 (3:50pm)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 1 Tenderize
Tenderize is better suited on slightly dryer ground after tackling a Heavy 10 two weeks ago at Warwick Farm.
The Snitzel four-year-old hasn’t won in well over a year but does look one of the main dangers with two placings from three attempts over the mile.
Gary Portelli’s gelding has held his own in town over the last six months, placing in a tougher race at Rosehill four runs back over shorter.
With enough early speed to offset the wide gate, he’ll take catching if he can find the front.
