Magic Round has released me from it’s deep dark clutches and I am officially free from Azkaban!
What a Magic Round it was as well just quietly, you rugby league fans sure know how to turn it on!
All eyes now turn to Round 12, also known as the NRL’s Indigenous Round where we celebrate all of the many incredible First Nations’ people that are involved in the greatest game of all!
Let’s get stuck into the SGMs hey? I have one for every day of footy this week, if you want the other four games, follow my profile on the Neds app or check out the NRL Open Group!
Also, listen to our poddy ya dogs.
YUCK. YUCK. YUCK.
I genuinely threw up in my mouth a little thinking about this game.
I have no interest in watching these two teams play and I’m dirty that they’ve put it on a prime time spot.
HOWEVER!
There could be some money to be made here, the Dragons are fresh off a Magic Round bye and are relatively full strength this week.
I’m starting this multi off with the Dragons to win.
Zac Lomax continues to both rip and tear this season, he has scored a try in four of the Dragons last six games and I reckon he’ll cross the line here.
Let’s not chase too much value in this stinker, I’m keeping it at two legs.
DOGGIES v DARGONS $4.00
- Dragons H2H @ $2.45
- Zac Lomax Anytime Try Scorer @ $2.25
It’s not quite the rivalry it once was but we can still pump it up a little bit can’t we?
It’s about time you had your yearly rewatch of Adam Blair and Glenn Stewart going ham by all means, go watch it at that link as long as you promise to come back.
Melbourne are without Munster for quite some time now but I don’t think that will be an issue in this game.
If anything it just adds a bit of value to the Storm head to head price, which is where I’m starting this multi.
We need some tryscorers and to the surprise of no one, I’m taking two Queenslanders, Xavier Coates is the favourite for a reason and he’s locked in and I think Harry Grant will be a pest up the guts in this one and should be a chance for a sneaky hooker try.
MANLY v STORM SGM $7.49
- Storm H2H @ $1.65
- Xavier Coates Anytime Try Scorer @ $1.80
- Harry Grant Anytime Try Scorer @ $3.40
Quite possibly game of the weekend here.
The Sharkies are taking on a Penny Panthers, I genuinely couldn’t tell you the last time the Panthers were betting underdogs but they certainly are in the one and it doesn’t look quite right.
I’m not convinced that Penrith will lose two games in a row, sure they lost to the Wahs last week but I think that was a one time thing and Penrith will be back on track here, let’s put Penny H2H in the multi.
Brian To’o and Sunia Turuva are above $2.00 to score a try and I think it’s a no brainer to add them two to our multi.
It’s quite rare we’ll see them over $2.00 ever again this year and we need to lock them in while we can.
What is normally a very basic and unsexy multi of Penrith, To’o and Turuva this weekend offers a little bit of value.
SHARKIES v PENNY SGM $6.93
- Panthers H2H @ $2.30
- Brian To’o Anytime Try Scorer @ $2.20
- Sunia Turuva Anytime Try Scorer @ $2.30
My beloved Broncos have drawn an incredibly rare Sunday arvo spot this weekend against their little brothers (and my home town boys) the Gold Coast Titans and I’m kind of scratching my head wondering why this isn’t the Thursday game.
The Broncos are incredibly short favourites for obvious reasons but the Titans always seem to play a different level of footy in this M1 derby.
I think the 14 point line is a bit ridiculous here and I think I’m back the Titans to cover.
Reece Walsh could be the shortest priced fullback I’ve ever seen to score a try, the big dog is in incredible form this season and I’ll be including him here.
My other try scorer selection is Selwyn Cobbo, the big Cobb dog is another one of these young Broncs that seems to improve every week and will get near the line once again.
BRONCS V TITS SGM $10.91
- Titans +13.5 @ $1.90
- Reece Walsh Anytime Tryscorer @ $1.65
- Selwyn Cobbo Anytime Tryscorer @ $2.25
