Our entire UFC 300 Preview can be found below.
Light Heavyweight will be the feature bout this weekend for UFC 300 when Alex Pereira defends his Light Heavyweight title for the first time against the former champ and profilic knockout artist, Jamahal Hill.
Jamahal Hill made the selfless decision to vacate the title to keep the division moving forward and most importantly show the world he can capture the gold once again!
Pereira has been on a dominant run, winning six of his last seven bouts in the UFC including four by knockout.
Jamahal Hill has been on a 13-month hiatus after defeating future Hall Of Famer and former champ Glover Teixeira in a dominant grappling performance.
Hill has shown that he can not only stand and bang, but he can also grapple to a unanimous decision victory.
The former Light Heavyweight champion is undefeated in the UFC and I don’t believe that will change.
With that being said, the value for Jamahal Hill to win via KO/TKO or points is too good to pass up.
Women’s strawweight action is expected to be a belter of a fight with Zhang Weili set to defend her title against Yan Xiaonan.
Zhang is coming off a dominant and clinical performance against Amanda Lemos while Yan wiped the floor clean with Jessica Andrade.
This will be a tough bout for punters, no doubt about it – but who takes the chocolates?
Zhang Weili has 24 wins to her name, with 11 knockout, 8 submissions and 11 first round finishes – Wowee!!
A dominant performance from Zhang Weili is expected in my eyes and a play on her to win via knockout or submission is the play for me.
Two of the Baddest Motherf**kers in the UFC are set to collide when Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway square off this weekend!
Gaethje isn’t nicknamed “The Highlight” for no reason!
The 35-year-old is loving life right now, being able to partake in the big fights on the biggest stage in the world!
JG was last seen against Dustin Poirier where he delivered one of the best head-kick KO in a hot minute.
Max Hollaway on the other hand has bounced back since his unanimous decision defeat to Volkanovski in July 2022, with two convincing victories over Arnold Allen and The Korean Zombie respectively.
One thing is clear, it’s either an all-out war over three rounds, or a blistering KO on the horizon!
Hollaway has a chin like no other while Gaethje has a set of hands with concrete, this will be about you won’t want to miss.
Max Holloway has great value for him to win via knockout or points and since he’s got 11 knockouts along with 12 decision victories in his 25 successful fights, a play on “Blessed” will be my best bet on the card!
Ranked lightweight action will see the number 1 ranked Charles Oliveira take on the rising Armenian known as Arman Tsarukyan.
Both fighters have that real dawg in them, willing to go the distance for an easy victory, or even swing at the fences for a first-round finish – only time will tell with these two.
Charles Oliveira is coming into this bout as the underdog – which is shocking in all honesty.
This is a former world champion who’s faced the biggest and toughest opponents in the world.
Let’s call a spade a spade here, Oliveira winning via submission or decision seems like the only outcome I’m interested.
Not only that, Arman has never had a challenging fight since joining the UFC and a play on Charles via submission or decision is the outcome I’ll be taking.
To kick start the UFC Main Card we have the fan favourite Bo Nickal clashing heads with Cody Brundage in what I think will be a quick affair.
At the time of writing, Nickal is coming in as a heavy favourite, and I can’t help but agree with the bookies.
Nickal has had a tremendous impact since making his debut in the UFC, finishing both of his opponents in the very first round.
Now Brundage is a different beast, don’t get me wrong, but a play on Bo Nickal to win via a 1st round knockout brings a generous price in what is a short-priced market
