No. 11 Finale

J: Blake Shinn (57kg) T: Cliff Brown

Finale is making her seventh start for Cliff Brown on the back of three promising efforts since returning to work in February.

The Extreme Choice filly was strong to the line over the track and trip, beaten only narrowly under Blake Shinn before a more disappointing run over the mile last time out.

She’s been given a good gap between runs and should be suited by the step back in distance carrying just 57kg.

Pakenham: Race 6 (7:45pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 4 Mr Charismatic

J: Michael Dee (59.5kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

Mr Charismatic makes his return to the races for the first time since winning on debut at The Valley last November.

The Hayes-trained three-year-old burst into the clear at the 200m mark to win with plenty left in hand, similar to what we witnessed from him during a recent jump out.

The inside gate is to his favour and he should be given every chance up on the speed.

Pakenham: Race 7 (8:15pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 6 Willabilloo

J: Ethan Brown (58.5kg) T: Michael Kent

Willabiloo owns a win over this trip, winning comfortably at Werribee on debut last year where he had genuine excuses in the run home.

His first-up effort at Cranbourne late last month was only plain, finishing second-last in a small field of five after spotting the rest of the field a start.

He’s open to improvement though with Ethan Brown on board, while a wet track could also prove key to his chances.

Pakenham: Race 8 (8:45pm)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 8 Ersa

J: Michael Dee (59kg) T: Ben, Will & Jd Hayes

Ersa is a talented filly for the Hayes Team that has contested tougher races than this during her short career.

The daughter of Lonhro notably won her maiden over the mile at Ballarat last October, stepping out in a Group 3 not long after at Flemington where she held her own to just miss out on a place.

Still only lightly-raced, she gave good chase on return at Sandown a few weeks ago and is open to improvement with Michael Dee proven in the saddle.
