Daily Racing Tips – Friday, April 12

Stylish Icon has been racing in solid form of late, winning two back at Alexandra over further where she really picked up nicely to find something extra through the line.  

She went around as the favourite and was beaten 3.5 lengths at Woolamaia last start, a run that suggested she might better suited over shorter.  

Her form over the mile has been solid throughout her career and she gets the blinkers on again from a much better gate. Providing she handles the weight, she’ll be thereabouts.  

Massira has turned in two likable performances so far this prep, the first at The Valley back in February where he ran second to Holy Racket in what has been a solid form reference since.  

He was strong to the line at Sandown three weeks ago over the 1000m trip, giving good chase over the final furlong to run third.  

Jye McNeil has a feel for the three-year-old and he’s likely to find this an easier contest back to provincial level.  

Inthelapofthegods returned to the winner’s circle a few weeks ago with a brave win up on the speed at Bairnsdale.  

The son of Sidestep responded to a late challenge to hold on and win, a strong effort coming off a three-week break between runs.  

He’s untried over 2600m but should find conditions to suit with some give under foot. Drawn well and back slightly in class, he’ll be one of the hardest to beat.  

Sutadumu has appreciated the drop back in grade, winning a similar BM64 last week at Avoca on a rain-soaked track.  

The lightly-raced four-year-old contested tougher races in Adelaide earlier in his prep and is hard fit now for four runs back since joining the Patrick Kearney stable.  

In well with the claim, he just needs a touch of luck from the barrier to get across early and land in behind the speed.
