Clearly Nathan had been racing well but just failed to figure last time when stepping up slightly in distance. He’d placed in four successive runs but when getting out over 560m last time, he didn’t finish off as strongly as he had been.
This looks a winnable race for him and from the outside box he should enjoy a clear run.
Journey is building a very tidy record and comes off an impressive last start victory. The son of Fernando Bale wasn’t the fastest away but showed nice speed to take up the lead and put up a big break and he was far too good for them.
He looks well placed here and from the inside box, should prove hard to beat.
Impress Fowler has won six of her seven starts and looks hard to beat again. The two year old bitch flew out of box seven here last time and proved too nippy for them, posting a slick time in doing so.
She’ll again jump from box seven and I can’t see any reason why she won’t be winning.
Rocket Queen has just had the two starts and she looks very smart. On debut over 297m at Dapto, she wasn’t the fastest out of the boxes but picked up quickly to go to the lead and win comfortably in quick time. Following that she stepped out over the same track and trip but just got up onto heels mid race and it cost her a few lengths.
The rise in trip here looks suitable and with if she does everything right, should prove too quick for them.
