There’s only a handful of rounds to go!
As we get to the pointy end of the season, we’ve got you covered for tips in every matchup this week.
I’ve run my eyes over the markets and checked the trends.
Here is my preview of Round 23 of the 2023/24 A-League Season.
The Wanderers will be hoping to make it three in a row with their clash against the 8th placed Brisbane Roar on Friday night.
WSW are the short priced favourites at $1.98 and given the form (or lack thereof) that the Roar is in.
You’d think the smart money would be with Western Sydney, rather than the $3.45 Brisbane Roar.
Each of the last four games between Western Sydney and Brisbane have resulted in a draw and $3.70 does look enticing for a that, but I’ll be sticking with the Wanderers.
The current spooners, Western United are the favourites against fifth placed Macarthur.
That can’t be right can it?
Apparently it is, the 5-4-13 United are $2.05 to Macarthur’s $3.15 and of gut feeling alone, the Bulls seem the value play here.
The betting trends back my thoughts up too, Western United FC has lost four of its last five games as a favourite following a loss and given that they are at the bottom of the ladder, I’m with Macarthur.
23 rounds in and the ‘Nix are still not getting the respect they deserve.
$4.50 for the top of the table side, granted they are playing the second placed team but I’ve backed the Nix every week and I’m not stopping now.

It’s a great Saturday of fixtures isn’t it.
After the top of the table clash we have a Melbourne Derby where anything, and I mean anything can truly happen.
The Vics are ever so slight favourites at $2.25 but the value on City at $2.95 has caught my eye.
Melbourne City has won 15 of its last 17 night games at AAMI Park following a loss.
It’s a derby, all form goes out the window here. I’m with City.
Newy are very lucky they aren’t at the bottom of the ladder at the moment and lets be real, they probably have one eye on Mad Monday.
Sydney should get up here in a big big way.
